It's the same message of the post but maybe you'll receive it better coming from someone else. It's just Truth; it may hurt but it's for our good since God is refining us. As our Father, He disciplines us out of Love. As our Shepherd, He goes to great extents to lead us on the right path and bring us back when we stray. I share because I care for my family and friends and even people I don't know, and I just want to be obedient to God. And just because I share stuff doesn't mean I'm perfect God's working on me too. P.S: I'm moving on. I brought that up again because I heard that there were people who were confused. I don't know who they are since they didn't talk to me; only a few people met up with me. Last thing, the point of such piercing Truth messages is: it's time we seriously seek God for ourselves.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)

So I'm taking this Greek mythology class and we read The Odyssey by Homer. I wasn't being a good student the week we started it (I blame the rain and thanksgiving! lol jk) so I got behind on the reading so I decided to watch the movie first to get the gist. When I watched it I was blown away because it described my situation and God taught me lots through it. He answered my questions and gave me hope and direction. So yeah, I'll be making comparisons between the book and my life lol (Study tip: You remember stuff better if you can relate it to yourself -> "The self-reference effect" haha). Main section: Homecoming! (but you'll miss out on the journey if you jump to the conclusion lol)
"The Man of Twists & Turns"
So I had a restless start to the quarter as I already mentioned in earlier posts. God kept telling me to chill out and I would, for a moment, but then I'd somehow go back to twisting and turning till I found myself in this very familiar dark valley surrounded by these very familiar noisy mountains and I'd be like, "Oh no! I'm back here again??! Really? Fail! I'm meant to be making progress by now! What went wrong this time? When will this cycle ever end??!" Yeah I was just tired and discouraged by all my misadventures but God gave me hope :)
The Odyssey is an epic journey and it focusses on Odysseus' nostos ("return home"/ "homeward voyage"). It begins in the middle of things -> midway through Odyssey's wanderings. It concerns itself much more with the unseen universe of the human heart; with feelings of loneliness, confusion and despair. Odysseus is introduced in a very unheroic way: sulking on a beach, yearning for home, alone (except for Calypso, a goddess who had imprisoned him there). [Sparknotes!]
So yeah through the movie (you can watch it on youtube) God showed me that though I ran into lots of obstacles and had many setbacks I will make it home. (Actually He told me that days before; the movie just painted it out for me and gave me lots of confirmation. Thanks God for accommodating visual learners! -Those are the kinds of "visions" I get lol). And though it may seem like I'm not making any progress I am on my way there (homeward voyage) so that was relieving to know :)
Obstacles & Setbacks
I got hope for the future and I knew I had to move on but then I was like "What was the point of going through all that over and over again??" I lacked closure and I needed to find it otherwise I'd swim in regret.
1. Wisdom & Love:"Many cities of men he saw and learned their minds."His many experiences, though painful, matured him. God showed me that I was focussing too much on what I didn't have and not paying attention to what I had gained. He allowed me to grow in Wisdom through my different cross-cultural experiences (some products of that is the Real Identity and the Revolution post). And He told me that I had learnt to love through my experiences because love has different faces ( 1 Corinthians 13) and must stand the test of opposition (Matthew 5) [post: Love Me]. He told me "Well done" coz that was an important lesson to learn because when we get to heaven that's the question He'll ask us: "Did you learn to love?"[I got those words/confirmation when I went to prayer and prophesy at the prayer shed when I was super-discouraged mid-quarter so it was encouraging to hear].
2. Can clearly identify obstacles- The most dangerous obstacles are the nameless ones but if you can name it, you can conquer it faster (just made that up lol but it's true. If you don't identify something as a problem then it will slow you down/keep you from working towards the solution). At most of the setback locations he landed in, Odysseus would get warnings: descriptions about more obstacles in his path. That info helped him keep an eye out for those obstacles and he could prepare himself to tackle/avoid them. "Many of the obstacles are temptations :Immediate, visceral desires distract him from his nostos (homeward voyage), but a deeper longing and a more intellectual understanding of his mission's importance keep him tied to his course." [Sparknotes!]
Similarly, through my wanderings, I learnt the names of my obstacles: the famous fear of rejection, fear of standing out, the newly named fear of failure, people-pleasing, false humility, discouragement, low self-esteem, "eye/memory" problems (easily distracted), issues with receiving love. That's most of them, if not all lol. You can read some descriptions I gave in my "The Fall" album on facebook. Now that I know what my problems are I can keep an eye-out for their future attacks and I can ask God to shine His light into all those areas of darkness (instead of giving up and hiding in a dark hole lol. Pray for me!). He told me not to think of the desert season I am in as a waste of time because even when there's no fruit showing, there's stuff growing. He is The Potter, I am the clay and He's still working on me! :)
3. Main Lesson: I'M ALL WEAKNESS.
"Of all that breathes and crawls across the earth, our mother earth breeds nothing feebler than a man. So long as the gods grant him power, spring in his knees, he thinks he will never suffer affliction down the years. But then, when the happy gods bring on the long hard times, bear them he must, against his will, and steel his heart. Our lives, our mood and mind as we pass across the earth, turn as the days turn . . ." (Odysseus)
So Zeus and the other gods gave the okay for Odysseus to be finally set free from Calypso's island. Calypso, also a goddess, wanted him for herself but she had to do what Zeus said so she told Odysseus he was free to go home. He can't believe it but she re-assures him and helps him build a boat to continue on his nostos. When it's done he goes off sailing home but after a while Poseidon the god of the sea spots him and forms a storm which tears apart his boat and leaves Odysseus floating on a plank. (Poseidon was still mad at him for injuring his son the cyclops). Odysseus is really pissed off and heartbroken.
Poseidon: My goal is not to kill you. You must understand. Odysseus: What? What? [shouts] Odysseus: What do you want me to understand? Poseidon: That without the gods, man is nothing.
My failures reminded me of this Truth: Without God I am nothing. I have no power to change anything or anyone. I can't fix myself. I can't even do life without Him. This was a humbling reminder and at the same time really relieving. My fear was that I would fail God. That I would fail to share the stuff He gave me to share in time. I was overwhelmed and I freaked out coz I thought I was going to mess up. But that reminder put me at ease coz it reminded me I'm human. It's my nature to fail. But He reminded me that when He calls me to do something He goes with me so all I need to do is remain in His restand it is out of His rest that I can operate -> do what He called me to without rushing it due to fear of failure (coz that leads to messy-ness) and plus that's what it's all about rest (relationship with God. Finding rest in His love) so I don't wanna get caught up with working for Him and miss out on the most important thing (resting in Him and out of that, working with Him). He also reminded me that He is God lol. He holds time in His hands (so He literally has all the time in the world haha) and He has a time and season for everything. I don't know His time schedule but I just need to trust Him in the now and know that if He has called me to something He will have enough time for me to get there and He will be molding me along the way in preparation (read the message in the photo at the beginning. Click on it if you can't read it). This gives me hope and peace and joy! :-)

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." (Lamentations 3: 19-26) ♫ I know now, You're my Only Hope.♫
Direction & Hope: HOMECOMING!
So after Poseidon destroys Odysseus' ship with the waves, Odysseus floats along hopelessly but then the goddess Ino gives him a protective veil and the goddess Athena watches over him as well. He floats into a river which takes him into the land of the Phaeacians. Athena then guides his entry into the land and his interactions with it's people. After Odysseus shares his story of his sad misadventures with the King and Queen of the land they give him a ship with men to take him home. Odysseus sleeps all through the journey and they drop him off at Ithica (his home) without waking up. He is finally home! but when he wakes up he doesn't recognize it because of the mist. Athena appears to him disguised as a shepherd and tells him where he is. She later revealed her identity and let him know the state of his palace-> Many suitors were waiting for Penelope (Odysseus' wife) to choose another husband but she delayed it because she had hopes for Odysseus' return but they wouldn't leave so they stayed at the palace eating all the food and getting drunk and they were planning to murder Telemachus, Odysseus' son. So Athena told him that he needed to fight them and win to reclaim his world (his home: wife, his family, his throne, his kingdom). Athena assures him that he will regain kleos (glory) at the end. But then:
"Odysseus worries that he and Telemachus won't be able to conquer so many suitors, but Athena reassures him that through the gods all things are possible. -Athena's word of encouragement to Odysseus make it sound as if victory is already assured and that she, not Odysseus, will be the decisive factor." [Sparknotes!] So Odysseus did everything she told him and he and Telemachus, with Athena's help, conquered all the suitors. He reclaimed his throne. Was re-united with his wife. Victory was achieved! But there was unrest in the land because Odysseus killed all the suitors (the finest men of Ithica) so their parents were pissed and a war was about to break out against Odysseus and his family but Athena steps in, speaks to the people, re-establishes order and restores peace. The end :) So what did I hear God say to me through that?
"Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” (Genesis 28:14) "Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)
I faced all my fears and they knocked me down and I felt like a failure. I was stuck in the same cycle, making the same mistakes and I was just tired. I felt like I've wasted so many years of my life living this way. When will I go back to living life full of life? Because each time I came close to that something would always happen and I'd get blown off course. I was really discouraged because I let myself get distracted but then God has been telling me, "It's not over. It's not over. I'm not done with you. I am with you and I will help you. I'll put back all the broken pieces of your life. I am making you new. I'm bringing restoration to your life. And I'm going to use you. You just need to rest though."I was restless all quarter (bouncing in and out of His rest) but He kept telling me the same thing through different ways. When I went home one weekend I was watching Maid in Manhattan and this jumped at me."What we do does not define who we are. What defines us is how well we rise after falling." So yeah God was telling me that my life will not be defined by my failures because, by His grace, I will rise again. Not by my own strength (I tried that and failed harder) but by resting on His. Yeah I just need to listen to Him, keep my eyes on Him and follow Him. So yeah, pray for me peeps I'M COMING HOME and this time it's for sure. IT'S NOT OVER! (Check out this song by Astar, a Kenyan gospel rapper. It really captured how I felt)

To remember who I am -so I wanna journal more about my past and He gave me the idea of journaling a little bit everyday coz I usually let stuff build up then I get overwhelmed then I don't write or it turns into a rushed super-long post (I'll try that after my finals). So you can join me on my "Journey to the past" series for the story of my life lol. He told me that I need to listen to Him and believe what He says about my identity. One practical He gave me is spending less time on facebook coz that's a source of distraction from resting in Him. So yeah, I can use my free time to journal (among other things) instead of wasting it on facebook lol.
Use my wings- He reminded me that He has given me wings so I can fly. I encounter more obstacles when walking, it's easy to get caught up in the world's perspective but I can rise above that and travel faster and more joyfully if I use my wings -seeing things from the spiritual perspective but to soar I need to rest (related posts: Free to Fly and Rest-> Soar) But I'll do both fly and walk. So if you don't get my flying posts don't worry, just wait for the walking ones and it will make more sense :)
To remember who He is -fixing my eyes on Him by praisingHim and also declaring His promises that He gives me in His Word (which is actually a weapon against the devil's confusion and discouragement). And I'm learning that giving thanks in everything and being hopefulfor the future is key to joy in whatever season. K bon voyage! Till next time ;)
Oh yeah, this message isn't just for me, which is one of the reasons why I share. God told me we are going into a HOMECOMINGSEASON. God is our Healer, Redeemer and Restorer. He has brought us this far by His grace and mercy but He's not done with us. He has so much more in store for us! And we are going to see His Glory soon! Yay! =) (Related post: Sow in Tears -> Reap in Joy). So yeah, let's cooperate with Him by returning to Him, finding rest in Him. I'm re-learning to do this (resting/ being still/waiting on God) so going through my past posts has been helpful and I'll have another post about that too (called Wait).

So I mentioned in this post that God told me that I had learnt to love but there was actually more for me to learn. At that point I had learnt Tough Love- Telling the Truth to those you Love but after that point God wanted to teach me Loving when it's tough (as I said in the LOVE ME post) and I'm still learning that... it's hard coz to learn how to love like Jesus requires that I die to myself... and yeah I'm still in the process of dying... I'm letting go... Jesus take over! _________________________________________________________________________
GREAT NEWS! This is the year of restoration!!! :) But restoration begins with rest... So God's been telling me: Just rest in My Love. Rest in your identity in Me (My beloved daughter). And all the rest shall follow. It's pretty simple right? Yes it is. But there are so many distractions and obstacles that keep us from resting in God's love. I listed some of mine in the Journey post. So the desert season is a time to re-focus and to find rest; a time to wait on God (post: WAIT!). [Main Section: The last one- You better claim those blessings!!! :) Coming soon! A Call to Wait. A Call to Fast]
So the latest obstacle that keeps me from resting in God's love is...I like to share. So I feel guilty waiting on God to show me His glory and satisfy me with His Love when I'm on my own coz I feel selfish. Ridiculous right? But yeah, I usually feel like I should be sharing that experience with others. I'm a giver but that showed me that I have issues with receiving. But I've been letting go of my insecurities and I can feel God at work. He is renewing my mind which allows me to see His great love for me and to just rest in Him. His restoration begins within us. He wants to fill us with His love, joy and peace regardless of whatever craziness is going on around us. He wants us to know Him as our Father and know that His Love is all that we need. To find our identity and security in Him alone. To be rooted in His great Love for us =)
Promised Land! New Season! Renewal! Restoration!
So if you've been following my blog you've probably heard all of that before so what does it have to do with you? Like I said, I'm a giver so when God teaches me something I like to share. So I look at those around me who may be in the same position I am in because that Word would apply to them as well and that's how God started showing me the bigger picture. So this Word is for everyone. It's for me but not just for me, it's for families, it's for Africans in America, it's for bloodline Jewish people, it's for the Church, it's for everyone! :) I'll go into separate posts about those but here's a little preview.
For the Church: A New Season is coming and it's here. God wants to usher us into a time of increase which is great and I'm sure we all want that. But the thing is we have a part to play, we need to be thirsty for more and to wait on Him to fill us with more. So in this case complacency stands in opposition with what God wants to do. I realized that's the main Word that God gave me to share with InterVarsity: to wait on Him. We got distracted by focussing on what we already had, what God has already done in the past and that's great; let's be thankful but let's not stop there, God wants to do more. All the drama happened as prophesied (spiritual warfare. The devil trying to oppose God's plans) and kept distracting me from sharing this great news. The desert for me has been a time of extremes: feeling unseen, unloved, and misunderstood but when I looked up Jesus would find me and overwhelm me with His love which is too good to keep to myself so I'd want to share this treasure I had found but the cycle kept happening. Anyway, Church, this is the Word God gave me for us (His body): We are going into a season of increase! More prophesies are about to be fulfulled! This is the season of the latter rains! The church will be filled with greater glory than before and we shall dogreater works than Jesus did! And all He wants us to do first is wait on Him. He shall fill us up and add to our numbers. He shall fill us up and send us out. Revival starts with us :) Isaiah 61 and Acts 1-2. So yeah, let's thirst and wait for Him. The King of Glory wants to show us His glory :) It helps if we did it together coz that's what God wants us to do as a body (Acts 1 and 1 Samuel 7) but waiting for everyone to be on the same page to apply God's word is a distraction in itself (it has been for me). So don't wait for people, wait for God (with or without people). "How thirsty are you for more of God? What's keeping you for going after more?" Answering those questions will reveal idols in our lives (anything we put before relationship with God). So yeah let's wait on God! He wants to draw us closer to fill us with His love, to heal us, to refine us and to prepare us for the greater works we were purposed for. We are going to be who we were created to be. This is our destiny church! Let's embrace it! Let's trust God with our all. Greater things are yet to come!!! =) Confirmation: You can watch the beginning of this clip: New Season just around the bend :) God gave him a vision of the coming season that the church is about to going into. God showed him young people, high school and college students ... just watch it for yourself. It's so exciting! Heaven's coming down =)
For families, Africans, bloodline Jewish people = Like I said, God has been showing me the bigger picture out of stuff from my life and experiences. He showed me that this is the year for restoration for hearts back to Him and also for families back to each other. Through the promises He gave me for my family, I realized that He gave me passages that were about the Restoration of the people of Israel (like Isaiah 49). So it went hand-in-hand with what He revealed to me in the post: REAL Identity. So yeah, God is doing something new this season. He is flipping things around. Lifting up those who are bowed down. He shall bring deliverance to the oppressed. We are not forgotten. The Lord is our Redeemer. Let's wait for Him :)
For Everyone: God is turning things around for those who trust in Him and wait for Him. So whoever you are. Let's all return to pride rock, Jesus is the only firm foundation, the only One who we can trust even when times are changing. He is the manifestation of God's Love for us. So let's receive God's love. It's FREE!!! :DHe shall wipe away all our offenses and restore our hearts and give us new names: Sons and Daughters of the Most High God (post: I have a Father). In the post Journey God told me that it's Homecoming Season!!! Not only are we children of God but heirs to the Kingdom and if we live with Him then we shall also reign with Him. This is sooo exciting!!! You don't wanna miss out on this! It's gonna be the time of our lives!! =D God is going to bring restoration to our lives then send us out to restore others =)
"Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago." (Acts 3: 19-21) Below are some external blessings God wants to give us as well.
To repent just means to turn back to God with all our hearts and to find rest in His Love. I've been really weak and hopeless many times this past year, not just due to my own brokenness but carrying the brokenness of those I love and it's been tough. But in those dark times God shone through and gave me hope and strength to move on. When I lay my burdens down at His feet He keeps raising me up even when I feel powerless. He is Faithful. He is Love and I shall praise Him for His Goodness all day long! Let's give thanks! Let's hang onto all His promises. They shall come to pass. And while we are waiting let's just praise Him in advance =)
This is THE year of God's FAVOR and RESTORATION! It's Time for RAIN! =)

"If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:
You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

Application: Let's Love God with our all (Let's seek Him now more than ever). Let's love each other as ourselves. Let's Wait on the Lord and He shall renew our strength! =)

In the video, she talks about how God has issued the call for people to re-build His tabernacle in Israel where His glory will dwell in the endtimes and provide healing for the nations. That reminded me of this post and also the beginning of The Bubble post. The video also gives a Call to fast for 10 days starting tomorrow 2/3/2013. I've been wanting to fast this week but I wasn't organized enough so that gave me confirmation and motivation (which has also been the case in the past). So yeah, let's fast, it will increase our hunger and thirst for Him and let's wait on Him to fill us. There's different kinds of fasts. I talked about the Daniel fast in previous posts so you can click on the label below.
Let's wait on God and ask Him to prepare us so that we can be a dwelling place for Him. Worship really helps me to be still and press into His presence and I like worshipping with other people so let me know if you wanna join me this week :-)

-That was in an email from Starbucks. It's obviously about coffee but when I saw it different things jumped at me:
"There's still time" - This was actually encouraging. It was a reminder that God never gives up on us and His grace is enough for us and for what He has called us to do on this earth. But yeah, we still need to partner with Him and say Yes to His will and His way and that means turning around when we go off the course and realigning our gaze to His face. And really it's all about relationship. Intimacy with Him. He restores our souls and also uses us to do His work of restoration on this earth.
"The Gold Event"- This immediately reminded me of the "Pimp My Ride" post and a prophetic song I posted there called "Shine!" ♫ My bride! It's all about that weddingday! I'm preparing you to shine! You're gonna shine in righteousness and holiness!...There's gonna be a wedding. It's the reason that we're living. To marry the lamb! ♫ In that post I shared a revelation God gave me of the times we're living in and what He is up to in us, the church, his bride, through the illustration of the "Pimp my ride" show. Take a read. But basically, we are living in the lastdays and God is setting apart his church for further purification and molding... He is preparing us for the rapture (Jesus is coming back for a pure bride) and we also need the modifications because He is preparing us for greater works - He's going to fill us with soo much of His glory and we're gonna do greater things than Jesus did. What's "The Gold Level"? that's when our bodies are totally transformed. Fullness of God. Fullness of Love. "When He appears we shall be like Him.""He who begun a good work in you shall carry it on to completionat the day of Christ." God revealed to me more about that in the Beauty & the Beast "To be human again" post, I included revelation I got when I watched the movie and Scriptural confirmation as well as other sources of confirmation. "...the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed." (Romans 13:11)
Then what's with the"Short-cut?"/"Challenge worth it's weight"?/"Fast forward"thing?Well God has been reminding me that when all is said and done, everything boils down to LOVE. That's what it's ALL about. Even in the "Pimp my ride" post He told me, "Love is not just the tool that Jesus uses to transform you but it is also His goal for pimping your ride. Bearing more of His Love to be able to give out more of His Love to others." And if that's the goal then it's also our security deposit as well as our ticket. But many times we get distracted from loving God with our all and loving others like Jesus loved us (sacrificially). Many times we get wrapped up in our own lives and issues and totally forget about our neighbor and those suffering around us. Many times we get all religious and forget it's about relationship with God which involves loving Him and obeying Him. I don't know about you but when I notice that I've done this (not walking in love) I feel bad and beat myself up. But God's like, no stop beating yourself up, there's still time so just surrender your burdens and sin and I'll put you back on track. So it is surrender that is the shortcut to restoration. Not just in our relationship with God but with others. God isn't individualistic, He's all about community. Jesus wants us to lay down our lives for others. That's real love and it's that kind of surrender/sacrifice that will restore relationships -with each other-> the body of Christ, as well as the lost to their Father. It reminds me of Misty Edwards' song, ♫ When it's all been said, when it's all been done, when the race is run, "Did you learn to love?" That's what you'll ask of me.♫
K last point. What's with the "earn 12 stars between now and the 31st ... Join now."? And why am I even combining this starbucks revelation with this Anastasia post????
Royalty. Restoration. Sign of the Endtimes!
So in the Anastasia post, I shared Fall of 2012 God taught me stuff through that about myself but like I mentioned in that post He also taught me about family and this post was meant to be about that. But all I did was share the two videos and two words. "Restoration's coming!" There's a lot I have to share about family but I'll keep it short for the sake of this post.
"12 Stars" when I saw that it reminded me of the twelve tribes of Israel. So what does "earn 12 stars mean'? Well something that's earned is something that's wanted so bad that you're willing to pay a price for it, something of significance. In Anastasia, the girl Anastasia grew up in an orphanage and couldn't recall her past, and more than anything she wanted to be reunited with her family (that's why she sung the Journey to the past song at the beginning). She also sung the "Once Upon a December" song twice... once wishfully by herself and at the end when she was reunited with her mother, the Queen, they sung it together. She faced a lot of challenges as she was on her journey to find her mother. Most of the opposition came from Rasputin who was caused to awaken when Anastasia returned to the old palace and agreed to let Demitri help her find her royal identity and family. I like this a lot because it clearly shows spiritual warfare... the forces of evil strongly at work to keep us from learning our royal identity found in Christ... yes identities in Christ and that applies to all believers; but in addition, in the REAL Identity post God was showing me that He is doing "A New thing" in the desert. He is awakening the people of Israel who have been scattered all over the earth (and it's not just people who know their Jewish heritage but other people who are unaware since that info wasn't passed down). And in that post God was showing me the big picture about what's going on in the world but especially in America and right here in California, right here in Santa Barbara,...different groups of people who may have some different tribes of Israel somewhere in their bloodline and how when these groups of people unite there will be an explosion of God's glory like never before! post: One New Man. That's cool right? Yay! unity and revival! Wohoo! Yes that's great news but it's also meant to awaken us to the times we're living in. In the Bible the restoration of the tribes of Israel is a clear indicator of the endtimes... Check out the prophetic books, the restoration of Israel usually happens towards the end of the book and it's usually after a chapter talking about judgment/distress/shaking. We are going into a season of great harvest and great joy. God is going to restore Zion's fortunes. He's taught me a lot about this through his Word and also through some events in my life and in my family's life. The time has come! It excites me more than anything but it also grieves me because I have been distracted from sharing all that God has been showing me and preparing y'all for what I see coming soon. If it's time for restoration then it's also time for judgement of the nations.
"God said to Abram, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years."But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions." (Genesis 15:14)

So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite." "earn 12 stars between now and the 31st"??
I know with the example of my family, a few years ago God gave prophetic words about my family through Shayne and Matt Sloan back when I was a Bible study leader in InterVarsity... we were doing listening prayer for each other and Shayne got a picture of an empty house and what she described was the apartment we were living in and I took that to mean that we were going to move out. Then Matt shared his vision, he saw a picture of another house and I didn't recognize it. I took it to mean that God was going to give us a new house. Then like in the vision we ended up moving out a few months after that but not to a new house... but with my sisters... stuff happened... lots of stories I haven't shared... and now it's come to that time that she wants us to move out by January. So the "between now and the 31st" could mean 2 different things, either:
This provision will happen by the end of 2013- Not just for my family but also the bigger picture of God restoring fortunes to Zion. As exciting as this is I really hope and pray that this is not the case, not yet. In the Hiding Place post I shared a dream that I had in the Spring of 2012. My mum, lil sis and I were driving from Anaheim to my other sister's house in Murrieta when suddenly an earthquake hit then the ground our car was on was elevated and it looked like we were on pride rock from Lion King. Pride Rock represents rest, restoration and the promised land as I described in that post but from the dream it seemed like this would happen during a time of distress. I'm beyond excited for the blessings that are coming but my heart really breaks for this land and I'm praying that God gives us more time to be prepared for what's gonna take place.
It could also just mean that God wants me not to wait for the new year to start a fresh and give my all. I can do that now. I have so much I haven't shared... so much confirmation I've gathered this year and different styles for different audiences. Please pray for me to rest in Him, to be still and let all that He's given me to share to just flow.
I may have totally lost you in this post, but if you didn't get anything out of this, all I'm saying is we need to seek God with all our hearts, we need to pray and interceed (posts: Time to SEEK! and A Call to Fast), we need to unite and fight using weapons of spiritual warfare. "The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8)

Laying down our burdens and our all before God so He can fill us up with more of His Spirit and it's the Spirit who operates in and through us bearing fruit... but also laying down our lives for others, freely giving what we have freely received. INTRO: DON'T HATE THE PLAYER, HATE THE GAME
So I know different groups of people are reading this so I want to try to get you all on the same page before we move on. In the post: BEHOLD I took note of awareness trends that were happening at UCSB and around the world last Spring (you can click on that link and take a read). Many people seem to be concerned about the injustices going on around them and are spreading awareness which is great. Spreading awareness about problems is great but it's not enough to bring change. It's usually just the first step to take. So what is needed to bring true and lasting change? A holistic approach. There needs to be a holistic approach to the problem - not just showing the surface of the problem but also digging deep and exposing the roots: ex. when looking at Sex trafficking you find: systemic issues-> government involvement->economic issues-> cultural issues ->family issues->spiritual issues such as lust and greed. The roots of the problems are spiritual and if they are not dealt with the problem will keep popping up and lasting change will not result. And there also needs to be a holistic approach to the solution- not just political action and social action but also spiritual action.
With that said, that's the approach I am going to take with this post -> digging to the roots of the problems and shedding light on the solution. And like I said this is urgent stuff. I know mentioning "spirituality" may have put you off but I'm here to talk reality. We all come from different backgrounds and I'm not here to judge you for not knowing this stuff. I just want to share this knowledge I have found with you because I care- no I don't know everything but what I do know I like to share. I need to prepare you guys for some stuff that's coming really really soon so bear with me as I spread awareness of reality in it's totality (the real world is made up of the physical and the spiritual; the seen and the unseen.) K, let me just lay down the basics but you can go to the posts I bring up for more information. There are 2 Kingdoms: The Kingdom of God (aka Kingdom of Heaven) and The Kingdom of the World (which is heavily influenced by thedevil and his schemes ever since the Fall of mankind in the garden of Eden. Before we proceed I want to make it clear that I don't hate "the player" (people in the world). I LOVE the player that's why I HATE "the game" (the systems of this messed up world that oppress people)." “There is an illness in our culture; it arises from our rigid separation of the visible world from the powers that undergird and animate it.” (Palmer 10) So I want to dig deep and expose the Real Haters (powers of evil) who run the game (The Kingdom of the World). AMERICA'S REAL IDENTITY: BABYLON
The American System -the pervasive culture of the world
If you read my blogposts on the: "Reforming Education, Reforming America" series (you can click on that link to read the conclusion of that series-> The Source & Goal of Knowledge). I addressed what I called "vices" within American culture: Secularization, Materialism, and Individualism (those are all links you can go to if you want more info). These are actually strongholds that the devil has in the land; different kinds of idols (anything that's put before God in our lives). So this post has been in my drafts forever (since December). I had originally named it, "I don't hate the player, I hate the game." I had felt that it was necessary to have for clarification because I had a feeling people were misunderstanding my Reforming America posts but I never got to writing it and I actually forgot about it until Spring.
So another thing about me, God speaks to me in random ways. Sometimes He opens my eyes to learn stuff randomly which I started recording then later He would give me confirmation through other sources such as His Word and other people. So this section was titled, "The American system- the pervasive culture of the world" but then I changed it to "The Western system" because I feared people would take it the wrong way if I zoomed in on America. But then in Spring God gave me confirmation for the original subtitle I had and the significance of highlighting America. I read Revelation 17: 1-2 and I remembered this post that was sitting in my drafts and specifically this subtitle and I was like omG! America is the Babylon talked about in prophecies! And so it made sense why God led me to share that paper (all that info was from a research paper I did for my writing class) and He gave me other clear confirmation about that revelation.
So since America is Babylon, here's some of the prophecy about her: Revelation 17-18. Isaiah 47. Jeremiah 50-51. Isaiah 13.As you've noticed they are all talking about her fall. Why is that? Isn't God on America's side? We always sing and say "God bless America" and "In God we trust" is on our money and many people in this nation identify themselves as Christians. Well it is true that God has blessed America and some of the foundations that this nation was built upon was Christian principles. But according to The Family Research Council (and many other sources) America has been falling away. I go into some specifics in the next section but please keep in mind that I'm not condemning anyone. I'm just sharing what I've learnt about what's soon to happen and the reasons why. I'll lay it out plainly first but please bear with me till the end. Yes God is a God of love but He is also a God of justice. He is holy and one main reason He has to go through with His judgements is because of His mercy; to serve as awake-up call for us to return to Him and put Him first before it's too late. And this is for everyone not just America. Judgement will fall on other places too not just America. I'll go into the application in the last section.

Judgement 2012: The Fall of Babylon
Some reasons for the coming judgement include: (Main scripture:Revelation 17-18. Isaiah 47. Jeremiah 50-51. Isaiah 13. and I've added more confirmation I got. "See how the faithful city has become a prostitute! She once was full of justice; but now murderers! righteousness used to dwell in her... "(Isaiah 1:21) “But days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will punish her idols,..." (Jeremiah 51:52)
*"The Gospel of comfortable and prosperity"-The preaching of half truths in the church. Shepherds not taking care of their sheep. Jeremiah 23, Micah 3, Ezekiel 34. Isaiah 30.
*Persecution of God's servants and the mocking of Jesus. Revelation 17:6.
*Sexual Immorality. “Now then, listen, you lover of pleasure, lounging in your security and saying to yourself, ‘I am, and there is none besides me..." (Isaiah 47:8)
*It all comes down to this: Pride(putting anything else before God, before Love). We forgot the about the greatest commandment: LOVE. Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40)
I know laying all that stuff out there makes me look like a hater. But once again, "I don't hate the player, I HATE THE GAME!" I HATE the devil and all his sly schemes that have blinded us from seeing the wholeTruth, distracted us from acknowledging it and binded us up in chains and lies to keep us from reaching out for our freedom. The devil set us up people. He knew from his own personal experience what caused him to fall from the life God called him to live, and that was pride. And he packaged it for us attractively so that we could fall for it, so that we could fall away from our First Love and earn the same punishment that he got (We all have free will and the choices we make have consequences).
One way he has done that is through music and media. I have a post about that that I haven't published yet, but I will later, hopefully. (Sorry people, I'm really behind on sharing stuff coz I've been distracted of late by my own issues.) Yes America is babylon and America is going to fall (and is falling if you've been paying attention). It's fall will be great but I'm not saying that the whole of America is going to be wiped out and we're all going to die. I'm not saying that. Some cities though, like Los Angeles, will get severe judgement why? Re-read the main scripture about Babylon's fall. I didn't record the details, but God had shown this woman that the Revelation 17 and 18 is about L.A. And I think a big reason why is because of Hollywood. "For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries." (Revelation 18:3)
I know I may still seem like a hater and a party pooper but that's not the case. I also strayed from God. Yes I believed in Him but I stopped putting Him first and started to conform to the world. And there's so much pressure to conform especially here in America. But God started calling me out of the lifestyle I had settled for; calling me back to Himself, back to freedom, back to His love. It was a struggle to let go since habits had formed and I was ashamed but when I finally let go I experienced freedom, His love and joy. I already got one dislike on youtube lol. It's okay if you don't like it, (I don't either lol. I sung it when I was freaking out that I wouldn't share all I had to share in time. It's meant to convey the urgency of the hour though) you can listen to the next song instead.
We don't like to becalled out because we focus on what we are losing, what we are leaving behind. But we can look at it this way: God is calling us in, into His arms to rest in His unending Love. He is calling us into our real identity (His sons and daughters and what that entails) and into the real purpose and great plans He has for our lives. Jesus is saying, ♫ Come away with me. It's never too late for you... I have a plan for you. It's gonna be wild, it's gonna be great. It's gonna be full of me. So open up your hearts and let me in.♫ :-) So yeah, great shaking is coming but God also offers us protection if we take refuge in Him (Psalm 91).
1. Mega earthquake coming to California really soon. Anytime from now! -Many people have prophesied this (including Paul Benthin, InterVarsity Staff at UCSB. He got a vision that there was an earthquake in IV and that's when revival happened. post: Listen with your heart) but Kevin Mirasi has received the most detail concerning the series of earthquakes that are to hit California (some hit during the summer). You can watch the first clip about his vision and the last link is from his blogpost and it's his latest dream where he heard:“Something very big is on the way in the West Coast region, USA!!!” I got led to his site and I've received a lot of confirmation for the stuff God's been showing me. Some of the things he has prophesied have taken place already like the historic fires and floods that happened over summer and hurricane Sandy. So yeah, any day now people. Let's wake up now and seek God! :)
A comment I saw from the first tsunami video: "Brother, I had a very similar prophetic dream last December. In my dream, I saw a tsnunami so HUGE, that it hit Japan first and then actually "backwashed" to California! It was as if the earth was rocking. After this, I saw a large object, smaller than the earth in size, but huge, fall into the ocean next to Florida's east coast. An angel pointed his finger to Los Angeles and said, "The aperature of Los Angeles." I had to go look up that word!!!! Do it and you will see what God meant!"

6. Attacks from other nations and wars and stuff- All these "natural" disasters will really weaken the nation leaving it vulnerable for attacks from enemies. Jeremiah 4, Joel 2. Jeremiah 51.
7. Signs in the heavens- Days of darkness. Joel 2. Isaiah 13: 10.
Deception & Delusions "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:7-14)
1.The Anti-Christ will rise. His real identity: President Barack Obama. So with Babylon falling because of judgements that will lead to chaos and it would be the opportune time to introduce martial law and the New World orderwill be ushered in with Obama as the leader of the world. The illuminati will take over the scene. The Mark of the beast (666) is the RFID Chip Implantin Obama care. It will be known as "the medical identity" (medical id) and will be required as part of the universal healthcare package and later it will required for buying and selling (cashless society). DON'T TAKE IT NO MATTER WHAT and warn others not to. It will be like making a covenant with the devil and there's no way out after that. Post: The Beast & the big boys.

Strong Delusions: False teachers and False Messiahs, UFO's (demonic manifestations) & False Raptureproduct of Project Blue Beam, HAARP, Chemtrails. -So the media does a great job of de-sensitizing people about super-natural realities ("just entertainment" not real) and it also sends out messages to condition people, preparing them to be hopelessly deceived. There's lots of movies about aliens and they paint them out to be good, "We come in peace" and the heros who will come solve our world problems. So some people have been shown that the great delusion in the 2 Thes. scripture above is the appearance of an alien space ship in broad daylight but we are not to believe it; not to believe in them since they are part of the devil's deception. Also, the illuminati and their rich intelligent friends are planning a false rapture. Check out the links below for more info. Basically technology has really advanced so they are able to have these projections in the sky so they are planning to put like Jesus' face or something. But then they'll tell people to go to a specific location to be raptured. At that location they'll beam people up into the space ships and then once they're in space they'll kill them off. So I'm not saying that the end of all things has come. Rather, the end of an age. We are at the beginning of the end. I talk about how God gave me this revelation through Daniel's vision in the post Real Identity. A new dawn has come. God told me this year was significant. When I did some research I learnt that 12 signifies perfection of government. Things have been shifting and perfection is on it's way. There are 2 kingdoms, the Kingdom of the world secretly ruled by the devil but perfection of that government will come when the anti-Christ rises and becomes the leader of the world and reigns with the illuminati. But then there's the kingdom of God, the Kingdom of heaven and perfection is coming. Jesus is coming soon (down to earth to reign) and before that is the rapture (His appearing in the sky). I have stuff to share that God's taught me about those mysteries- I will in different posts. But yeah, we are in God's governement (those who put their trust in Him) and He is about to perfect us by putting His glory in us (completion of His refinining and renewal work in us). So some stuff is going to happen by the end of this year and other stuff next year. I got that sense when I learnt that the Jewish calender starts in September and also the fact that God allowed made a way to stay in SB till next Winter, and some scripture prophecy (Revival Rains). Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear."
*Malachi 4* “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty. “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
"Wait for the LORD and keep His way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it." (Psalm 37: 34. Read the whole chapter, it kept coming up a lot this year)

*Daniel 12:1-4* “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book —will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge. ...vs 9-10 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.”

JESUS, THE REAL REVOLUTIONARY
Yeshua. The Lion and the Lamb. =)
"Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." (Psalm 24:8)
Jesus is the most misunderstood person in the world. When He first came many Jews rejected Him because the Messiah (savior) they were waiting for was going to be a military leader and would overthrow the government, defeat all their enemies then establish his Kingdom. This is true according to prophecy in scripture but it is actually describing Jesus' second coming. When Jesus first came, He lived among us so that He could relate to us (He is fully God and fully man. His name Emmanuel means "God with us"). He was known as the friend of sinners since He hang out with the outcasts, the poor and the "unclean". He loved them, healed them, taught them. He brought them freedom and restoration. The only people He called out were the Pharisees who thought of themselves more highly than ought to have and added on more rules and tradition which oppressed the poor, the sick and the foreigners, keeping them from worshipping God. The Pharisees hated him and plotted his death. And even then Jesus prayed for God to forgive them and He died for them. Jesus first came as a Lamb to die in our place to pay the price for our freedom (freedom isn't free). He first came to overthrow the sin that lies within us and to claim us as His own by living inside of us and to make us new (to transform us with His Spirit of power, love and self-control) and to use us to share that love and freedom with others. Then He is coming again soon to finish the renewal work in us then finally in this world. Yup he's the super-hero we are all longing for to save the day =) "And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”(Revelation 21:5) :-) Related posts: Beauty & the Beast Prologue and Pimp my Ride.
He's coming back soon! =)
Yes He came as a lamb but when He comes back to earth. He is coming as a lion to reign. "I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords." (Revelation 19: 11-16 read the rest and compare with the prophesy in Isaiah 63: 1-6) Note: This scripture is after Revelation 18 which talks about The Fall of Babylon so yeah He is coming back in the not-so-distant future. It could be in this generation I believe! (I'll share more clues later).
The song below is a spontaneous song I recorded in the Fall. I was doing my homework while listening to some instrumental worship music, I was kinda humming along then I just started singing what became the chorus: "Lift up your heads oh ye gates. Let the King of Glory come in." I traced it back to Psalm 24 then I just kept singing it with the other verses and I felt like recording it (for the message from the Holy Spirit). This is the original I just added some instrumentation later that's why it's off lol. Jesus is a warrior, let's give Him room to come in and fight all our battles for us. He is full of love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. He is able to give us the victory! In Him we are more than conquerors! =) Let's approach Him in confidence. There's No Shame! :)

So yeah that's what this coming Revival is about: 1. God is Holy and All-powerful- we should fear Him and obey Him (Love). Jesus is the strong and mighty King of Glory. He has the power to set us free from all our chains. And He is coming back soon as a lion to reign. 2. God is a loving Father and Jesus is a super fun friend who likes to share some of His power with us through His Holy Spirit. "Only Jesus, His person, His presence, and His power can satisfy the longings of a generation for love, pleasure, and impact." #FascinateConference.
So the devil has beat us down with his schemes long enough and he has more deception and traps in store for us. Are you gonna take his lies? I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE! The solution? A spiritual revolution! This is our generation! Let's take it back! =)
Let's make a "U-turn" into the Jesus freeway. (Alisa's performance at the Black Church experience we had in 2010 :) "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." (2 Corinthians 3:17)
So I know that was a lot and all at once but here's the application summary:
1.We need to seek God.He loves us and is longing for us to return to His rest, His love, peace, joy... His goodness. It's time to fast and pray. Don't know Him? Don't know where to start? Don't know anything about this spiritual stuff I'm bringin up? I'm not talking religion, I'm talking the gospel (The Good news), the Truth. Go to this post: The FULL Armor of God and watch that clip. It's time for BootCamp everyone! Let's talk to God (pray) and give Him total control of our lives. You can pray the prayer in the post: Here Comes the Bride-Groom. 2. Stock up on food supplies-Taking refuge in God (by surrendering our lives to Him) is the main application. But as I've heard from others we can also be prepared by buying food and water and stuff like flashlights for atleast a month. So you can also do that. And if you live in places like L.A I'd say seek God about moving because that's one of the places that's been prophesied to be destroyed. But yeah, let's make God our shepherd and just be sensitive to His leading. 3. SHARE- Pass on this info. Yeah it's a lot and all over the place but pass on the main message. If you were my friend and you knew this stuff was going to happen I'd want to know. If you don't want to take it from me you can refer to the links I gave for confirmation.
