The Valley

Main Section: How to walk through The Valley

After my experience at Pre-Fall leaders retreat (post: Hello Africans) we got back to school and I felt like I came from the mountain top- yay! :)) and into the darkest valley-boo! :(( Well it felt more like a rollercoaster: ....Mountain-valley-Mountain-valley.... So what was going on? If you've been following my blog you now know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, you can just read the intro section of this post: Real Identity. In this post I just want to journal my experience, what was going on spiritually and some lessons I learnt to keep track of what I'm learning as well as to encourage anyone going through a similar situation. K, back to what I was saying...

So what was going on? I think it was sometime in the Winter that I realized that what was going on was spiritual warfare. I remembered that it was exactly what God taught me in the post: Trust/Love Issues anyone? and the message He gave me to share at Prefall. God had prepared me beforehand but once I got to that situation it's like I forgot everything. You see once you know your identity in God (a daughter/son and what that means) you become a threat to the devil and he doesn't like that. Once God sets you free from the devil's oppression and schemes it really irritates the devil and he looks for ways to trap you and get you back into his chains. What did God teach me to prepare me? You can read that post for the whole message but I'll focus on this: After Jesus was baptized by John the baptist, the Holy Spirit came upon Him like a dove and a voice from heaven said, "This is My Son whom I am please with." Then right away the Holy Spirit took Jesus to the desert to be tempted by the devil and after that that's when Jesus begun His ministry.

So I kinda have a series going on called "The Desert"- God showed me that we are in a Desert season and it's exactly where He wants us to be for a while for various reasons. So here's another reason to add onto what I've shared. Why are we in the desert? To be tested and temptations usually accompany testing. When the devil was testing Jesus he would tell Him, "If you are the Son of God do this______." You see the devil likes to prey upon our weaknesses. For Jesus, He had been fasting for 40 days so he was hungry so the devil tempted him with food: “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” So the goal of the devil's temptations is to doubt yourself, to doubt your identity in God which then opens the door to the spirit of insecurity and inferiority which then leads to falling for the devil's temptations in a bid to mask those feelings (the same trick he used on Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Post: Beauty & the Beast Prologue). So for me it was the same thing, at Prefall God reminded me of my identity in Him (His daughter. Loved. Forgiven.) and set me free from the chains the devil had oppressed me with for years and He filled me with His Spirit. Then the testing came in. The devil is really sly, he doesn't have to show himself like he did with Jesus, or take the form of a snake like with Adam and Eve. He likes to look for open doors and to prey upon weaknesses. That's where the Matthew 10:36 verse comes in and the message I shared at Prefall (Trust No One but God)- the devil can use anyone: your friends, family, strangers, people in authority and even your own mind to attack your identity and to accuse you so it's up to you to take in the Truth and reject the lies. An open door that he used a lot to sneak his schemes was cultural differences with the staff and the misunderstandings brought on by that. And a weakness for me that he preyed upon was self-pity and discouragement. I know that may not sound that bad to you but it was the most intense spiritual warfare I've ever faced (especially Winter Quarter.). You see those were some of the things God set me free from and Galatians 5:1 says "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." So once you have been delivered from something, if you don't stand firm in your freedom and you let yourself be burdened by that same yoke again, the devil doesn't give you the exact same yoke he gives you a larger one and he oppresses you even more. In the post: The Present  I described one such scary valley experience brought upon by entertaining thoughts of self-pity and worry. And in the post: Winter Rains I realized that the devil likes to bring in self-pity so that I can focus on myself and not love other people. That's why the devil tempted Jesus right before Jesus start his ministry, the devil was trying to distract Him from His mission.

How to Walk Through The Valley

*Never Alone- To get through the Valley you have to remember that you are never alone. The Spirit of God is there with you (Just like He was with Jesus during His temptation). It may not feel that way so it helps to have reminders. The Word (book of Psalms) and Worship Music helps me a lot. Also you have to have your Eyes Fixed on Jesus and remember that He also went through lots of valleys for us (the song and verses in that post encouraged me). Listen to this song. It really encouraged me as well and challenged me to imitate and maintain Jesus attitude- He had an unoffendable heart.

* Watch the short clip below. She talks about how to keep your heart without offense through the seasons of life- including the valley season. I like what she said at the end, "I wanted to soar in God. I set my heart to be alive when nobody cared because He does." So in the valley you have to remember you are in transition- God's not going to leave you there. He has a good plan for you. Read the rest of Psalm 23. You need to have Hope for the future- and it's all about pleasing God wherever you are.

*She sung the song below. It was encouraging for me. When no one sees what you are going through and no one cares. God sees you and He always cares. He knows exactly how you feel and what you're thinking. He sees your heart. So in the valley you have to remember that You are fully seen and You are fully Loved by God =)

* Look to God for His peace, joy and strength- God's peace surpasses all understanding. He gives us peace even in the midst of a raging storm. Read the section "Worry, the Joy stealer" in "The Present" post. I would look to God and He would take away my worries and satisfy me with His love, joy and peace but when I looked at the storm it felt like all that got stolen (the mountain-valley effect). So yeah vision is everything. Eyes on Jesus!!

*Also, you need to forgive the people who are offending you whether or not they realize it and whether or not they ask for it. Listen to the song below. It says though they may reject you and judge you they will need you someday and you have to be ready to be there for them. And you have to pray like Jesus did:"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34a) And to keep loving and serving even when it hurts, even when your love is rejected.

All that stuff is hard to do that's why we really need to remember who we are- our identity in God- coz it's not about us and our weaknesses (what we can or can't do with our own abilities and good intentions) but it's all about Him- receiving His unconditional love for us, more and more of it until it flows out of us into the friends, foes and strangers around us.  Lord please fill us up with more of Yourself, more of Your love. Help us to choose to forgive and to love even when it hurts. Help us to fix our eyes on You and to seek You for everything we need. As we walk through the valley help us to stand firm in our identity and to cling onto You- take in truth and reject lies from the devil. Thank You for you see us and love us always. Please break and mold our hearts so that they can be like Yours! You're the best! In Jesus' Name Amen =)

Quick Testimony: Freedom! :)

~My baptism 10 years ago~

Hello facebook friends, so I'm about to disclose some urgent mind-blowing information with you but before I do anymore expose's I'll begin by exposing myself. So here's my life: I was born. In some type of bubble wrap. That kept me safe and sound From the winds and waves of this weird- wired world. ~So I'm a dreamer~ With my head stuck in the clouds I looked up and saw the Sun. Hope assured. An identity secured. God, my Father. The Holy Spirit, my guide. Jesus my savior, my friend, my all in all. Oh! but the girl had a hidden flaw. You see, the young child heard the sound of the soap Opera and by giving it attention it pierced through the some of the bubbles she was wrapped in Infecting her thoughts with lust. ~I'm a dreamer~ But those infected thoughts became my frienemies. My secret occasional sin locked up behind a door. The Key: Boredom.-An idle mind, the devil's workshop- And oh! the world didn't stop there It was determined to burst all the bubbles that wrapped me up and kept me afloat.The winds blew from all around me I took my eyes off the Sun and I heard the worldly wind howling louder and louder: change! Change! CHANGE!For some reason it had a huge problem with me being me and it wanted to suck me into the flow of the world. With pressure rising from every side, my eyes off the Sun,roving around wildly trying to keep up with the chanting thorns of accusation and the howling wind of conformity. I gave in. I cha-cha-changed!:( Hello fear of man (social phobia), hello fear of rejection, hello depression. My bubbles burst, the ones remaining could not keep me afloat. My head, now not in the clouds, but hung down. My eyes, now not on the Sun, but on the hard ground. Hello stress, hello worry, hello regret. Be my best friends. My new identity: insecure. My real identity suppressed. Relationships with family and friends regressed. Regret and depression progressed.I was oppressed. the sad cycle continued. Coming to America didn't help either as the winds here blow much harder, and the thorns charge much faster and penetrate much deeper. Inferiority and Insecurity became a part of me and continued to be the key to my demise.

Just Let Go and Let God. Let Love Flow :)

(This is "quick" testimony is taking longer than I wanted lol so I'll just copy and paste parts of a message I sent to my friend. Different style, same message) In America sex and porn is pretty much everywhere you look (ok I exaggerated ... just a little bit) But seriously? even in my classes? No, not sexual reproduction. Sociology!? Healthy eating class!?? So yeah,I was really insecure in my identity then I stumbled into porn. So curiosity and hopeless blah-ness partnered with my frienemy lust who had been sleeping behind the door but all the stimulation all around kept waking him up. I would have been able to resist before but I was weak since I was insecure (all my protective bubbles had burst). So when I got to that point I was like "WOw seriously Charlene? really? I don't even know who you are anymore." I was ashamed at far I had fallen, how much I wasn't myself and how my relationship with God wasn't good. At this point I was flat on my face. I couldn't go any lower than that. I had had it.So change needed to happen somehow. So I wanted change but I was also preventing myself from getting it. Each time I would go to church I would feel God telling me to just surrender->give up and He'll take over from there. It seemed too easy. I was trying to understand His grace: "I ran so far away from You and You'll take me back just like that?" So I was trying to understand His grace instead of just receiving it. Another reason that kept me from surrendering is: I had grown complacent with that life- not being myself- and so the Charlene that my friends got to know was not who I really am, who I fully am. And what would they think if I changed all of a sudden? So yeah, I still cared too much what people thought about me. Then last year I was a complete mess: I wasn't doing well spiritually (my relationship with God), relationally (relationship with myself, family and friends) and academically (I was failing classes all over the place). So I was like, "Ok God, I can't do this anymore. I can't keep this up. So I'm ready to surrender." Then came my experience at the leader's retreat with InterVarsity (post: Hello Africans). I let go and God stepped in. I lifted my head and looked at the Sun and He set me free from all that junk (lust, fear, depression) then He gave me power to resist temptation. And He also gave me His love, joy,peace, wisdom and all that good stuff. I got REVIVED!!! God is LOVE. That's what our souls crave And He really does satisfy!!!" His Love captured me =)

K, moral of the story: let's just admit it, we are wack but God is good and has unconditional love for us. Let's return to Him and receive His Love. Yeah that's my story but He is not done working on me but I'm just so happy with what He has done for me so far that's why I wanna go tell it on the mountain! Jesus said, "Freely you have received, freely give." I didn't earn the freedom Jesus gave me but the level of freedom He gives me is the level that I want to share with others.

Surrender = Freedom! =) ♫ What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow;No other fount I know,Nothing but the blood of Jesus.♫ Friends, don't delay like I did just accept God's grace NOW! He'll take you as you are but His Love won't leave you the same. His Love will set you free from all your chains! All your shame and all your fears! God is soo good! Let's just Praise Him!=)

I surrender my all to You Jesus! My heart, my mind, my soul belongs to You! =)

No more shakles! No more chains! No more bondage! I am free! I am FREE! =)

That's why I praise Him! He is the reason I sing and dance haha :) This was my experience at The Real Conference last fall. Sorry it's shaky. I couldn't help but dance lol =)

The Floods

I had a dream in the Spring that there was a flood and it was dark and stormy. I was in a boat with some people. Then I reached out into the water. I don't know what I was reaching for then this word came into mind: Abortion. Then the dream ended. I woke up thinking that's so random! But I think what is meant was: Floods are coming to America due to God's judgement and one reason why is because of abortion. God takes life seriously. I had watched this ->clip<- a few years ago. The guy, Earthquake Kelly, died and went to heaven where he saw some kids playing. He asked Jesus who they were and He told him they were kids who had been aborted then Jesus shared how abortion really breaks His heart since He has a plan and purpose for each child even before they are born but then their life is ended before they have a chance to live it out. It convicted me of my apathy towards it since I had brushed it aside as a political issue. But what can we do? We can always pray. ♫ Beautiful life inside living, moving, breathing So let HOPE arise. God knew what He was doing when He gave beautiful life. Beautiful, beautiful life. ♫

I was watching a Mr. Noah song with my nephew during Winter Break (I couldn't find the one I watched but you can check out the one above). But I felt like God was speaking through it. Judgement is coming so we have to get into the ark to be safe and we have to invite people before the door is shut. The grace period is coming to an end really fast since we are going into the endtimes. Jesus is coming back soon! "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.(Matthew 24:36-41)

Friends, now is the time to decide. Please get into the ark now. God has great plans for you! Just call on Jesus and He will deliver you from all your chains. Just trust Him today! The Beast & The Big Boys

"You're playing with "the big boys" now"

Hey =) During Winter break I was watching Beauty & the Beast with my niece then God opened my eyes to learn stuff through it. I shared some stuff in a post in December but I learnt a lot more that was too much for one post so I had to break it down. In the prologue post, The Beast represented mankind who had fallen from royalty and Beauty represented Jesus who came to save mankind through His sacrifical Love. In this post I focus on Geston who is the actual beast of the show and I learnt the real identity of the real beast (The Anti-Christ) :o

Puzzle Piece #1: Mr. Popularity

I'll just start off by saying who he is: The beast, the Anti-Christ prophesied in the Bible is Mr. President, Barack Obama! :o Shocked? I was kinda shocked too when I found out -I say kinda because I could see some signs but I didn't want to believe it was true. I didn't make this discovery right off the bat. Here are the puzzle pieces I received and some confirmation I got. 

God showed me that Geston represented the Anti-Christ. I didn't know who it was then but now that I do he matches the description I got. Listen to the words of the song below. Doesn't it just describe Obama? Remember the response from the world when he was first elected.

I got confirmation from this prophetic site I was led to; here's an extract from Kevin Mirasi's blog "...The first message that was imparted in my heart from the dream and vision within a dream was that the son of perdition, the Anti-Christ is now spreading his likeability worldwide and to this effect he has sent envoys to pass his messages and thoughts to the world (including Kenya, the birth place of his biological father) on how he wants the nations of the earth to progress politically... I suddenly found myself in what looked like a vision and in this vision I found myself in another gathering and in this gathering were very many audiences and they were being addressed by the USA President Barack Obama. He was wearing a black suit, a white shirt and a black tie. When I was back in Kenya, Obama was a senator and he had come to Kenya this one time to visit his Father's hometown and he gave a speech. And he sounded sincere like he actually wanted to bring change ("Change you can believe in") and I actually believed him. And now with the elections coming up he has been doing the same thing to spread his popularity. Let's open our eyes people!

Puzzle Piece #2: Secret Meetings. Evil Plans: New World Order

That same Winter break I was on youtube then I randomly clicked on the "Be prepared" song from Lion King. And God revealed to me more stuff through that. As I listened to the words I learnt that Scar represented the Anti-Christ. I didn't know his identity at that time but I got a knowing that he was here and was making plans in secret to usher in the New World order and also to persecute Christians. In Lion King, Simba (Mufasa's pride) represents God's people (those who trust in Jesus). Also, in Beauty & the beast, Geston and his group want to ♫Kill the beast! (represents the God' people who the anti-christ will make out to be the enemy and will persecute them) ♫

Some of the lyrics: ♫ So prepare for a chance of a lifetime. Be prepared for sensational news. A shining new era. Is tiptoeing nearer... But you'll be rewarded When at last I am given my dues And injustice deliciously squared. Be prepared!... Of course, quid pro quo, you're expected To take certain duties on board The future is littered with prizes And though I'm the main addressee The point that I must emphasize is You won't get a sniff without me! So prepare for the coup of the century (Oooh!) Be prepared for the murkiest scam... Respected, saluted (...aaaaaaah...) And seen for the wonder I am (...aaaaaaah!) Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared (Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo) Be prepared! ♫

Here's confirmation: Read all of Daniel 7. We are in the fourth kingdom prophesied in Daniel 2 - a mixed and divided kingdom -> multiethnicity & multiculturalism and disunity (I shared this in the Real Identity post) [and even divided politically judging from the results of this past election] in Daniel 7 the fourth beast is the Anti-Christ. vs. 20 "the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom."

More Confirmation: Back to Kevin Mirasi's first dream I quoted from,"While still in this vision within a dream, I was made to pay particular attention on the speech he was giving and the statements he was making and also his choice words. He was using a very boastful language as he blasphemed God Almighty and the Bible. And I was made to clearly hear him saying the following with swagger, charisma, boastfulness and pride: “We don’t need the Bible all the time to solve our problems and challenges; we’ve got a greater message to pass across!!!”. I was made to understand in this vision within a dream that this greater message to be passed across had got everything to do with the New World Order movement and also the mark of the beast." And in another dream, "And as I continued to look at him in the dream I was reminded in my heart of Adolf Hitler. And in the dream I was made to understand that just as ruthless as Adolf Hitler was, so would Barack Obama be. And that he would evolve from his apparent “cool guy status” to a brutal cold blooded dictator." (you can read more of that dream here->Dream2<-)

*Scar, who represents the Anti-Christ, also resembles Hitler in that scene with the hyena's marching and saluting him). Some more confirmation you can watch this ->video<- It shows parallel's between Nazi Germany and the New World Order that's being ushered in by Obama.

Illuminati, Martial Law & The Mark of the Beast

So in the Be prepared clip the hyenas represent the illuminati. They choose to be on the side of the Beast due to the promises he makes to them. "[Scar:] I will be king! ...Stick with me, and you'll never go hungry again! [Shenzi and Banzai:] Yaay! All right! Long live the king! [All Hyenas:] Long live the king! Long live the king!" This was part of an email I sent to a friend: "And a few years ago, my brother Moses was watching stuff on youtube about the illuminati with his friends and he kept telling me that everything is a conspiracy but I just blew him off. Then yesterday (1/2/12) I looked up the illuminati since I hadn't heard of them and I realized that they are part of the tactics of the deception movement and false teachings that the enemy is using to prepare the way for the antichrist and some celebrities are involved."

Martial Law will also be introduced. And the anti-Christ will eventually show himself for who he is and he will have his own prophet (false prophet) who will perform some miracles to get people to worship him. The mark of the beast is the RFID chip that will be introduced by ObamaCare. DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST NO MATTER WHAT. Read Revelation 13.  Confirmation link: Obama RFID. I'm really behind on sharing stuff so I'm going to move on but I'll come back and update the post with more confirmation from Scripture and other sources. But you can go to Kevin Mirasi's blogpost and he's on facebook too. I got a lot of confirmation from him and also stuff he prophesies have come true.

Change is coming really really soon! Let's Be Prepared!!!

The Kingdoms are going head-to-head. Then it's gonna be showdown at sundown. The New World Order (from the Kingdom of the world) is coming but God has been making His own plans too. The Kingdom of heaven is coming down. (Related post: The Kingdoms.) Jesus is making all things new and he starts with His people-> those who turn to Him and put their trust in Him. Let's trust Jesus. He gives us the power to soar and to endure the present and though there will be bumps on this narrow road Jesus has the victory in the end so let's get on His team. Jesus is calling, "Let me share this whole new world with you." Check out the post-> Just Trust. God has great plans for us! Jesus wants to share His Love, His Power and His Glory with us! Let's choose to trust Jesus and soar with Him! He LOVES us. Let's go back to our Father and surrender our all to His Love!

Update 4/2014

Hey people =) Here's an update of the above info that I shared in 2012. So God told me that the year 2012 was going to be "The Dawn of a New Era" and a lot of things have happened since then but not everything that could have happened that year took place, because of the grace of God - He is waiting for His people to be prepared (Unite and fight. This is spiritual warfare) - we, His army, are the ones that call down the reign of heaven. 

At the same time, the enemy the devil has been preparing his own army in these last days. Quick update: 

• 2012- Obama was re-elected president - The Anti-Christ prophesied in Daniel and Revelation (and other prophetic books). I have a post in my drafts called "Changing Times" where I share more confirmation I received when taking a class over the summer called "The Obama Phenomenon." 
• 2012 - The old pope quit and Pope Francis was arose - The Anti-Christ's sidekick / false prophet ("The Beast out of the sea" prophesied in Revelation). It's funny how this happened coz that was my guess, then the pope quit all of a sudden and Pope Francis took over, and his whole inauguration or whatever it's called was fishy with the white smoke and all... other people wrote articles about how that was a sign that we are living in the endtimes. Don't know where I saved the article but you can look online if you want. And everyone loves Pope Francis but just keep your eyes open and fixed on Jesus, coz the devil comes dressed as an angel of light. So yeah, once again I'm not hating on people, this is spiritual warfare and the point is to lean into God closer and interceed for others not to fall for the devil's lies in these endtimes.

• Obamacare - Was passed and there's an "individual mandate" for everyone to get it. This is an agenda that Obama pushed for right when he was campaigning for presidency. Yes healthcare is good, affordable healthcare is great (coming from a future doctor) but you need to WAKE UP to the times we're living in coz things are not what they seem, lots of spiritual warfare up in here in this final kingdom before God makes all things new (Daniel 2 prophecies) ObamaDontCare about your soul!!... and as was prophesied by the prophet Kevin Mirasi and others, the mark of the beast, the RFID chip will eventually be introduced through ObamaCare (since that's something everyone will be required to get) as a "Medical ID" and also to be a cashless society for environmental reasons and to be tracked by the government. And this really is "the mark of the beast" once you get it, there's no turning back and hell is your destiny :'((((((( This is harsh Truth but it must be told. My brother sent me a video with more revelation about this chip and the fact that it actually changes your DNA that's why there's no return after that. So please warn people about this, I know it sounds crazy but I've seen many crazy prophesies that God gave me happen and others that are all lined up to take place... and it's all over the media as well.

• Illuminati agenda and symbology in music, media and entertainment - Example: Katy Perry's Dark horse. So I was asleep in my sister's car on our way to Anaheim then I woke up to this song on the radio: "So you wanna play with magic? Boy, you should know what you're falling for. Baby do you dare to do this? Cause I’m coming at you like a dark horse. Are you ready for, ready for A perfect storm, perfect storm? Cause once you’re mine, once you’re mine. There’s no going back" then there was like 2 songs after that about California then some reporting about all the earthquakes we've been having (I'll comment on the earthquakes later but you can refer to the: REVOLUTION post) That song was in my head later on coz I was a bit puzzled by what the actual message was so I decided to look up the lyrics and I saw the name of the song: Dark Horse and it immediately made me think of the 4 horses of the apocalypse in Revelation. Then I saw this video about how the Grammy's was full of satanic symbology especially Katy Perry's Dark Horse performance: http://youtu.be/B-rctMEjP9E

Being my facebook friend you might have checked out my info page and read what I had posted as my favorite quote. If you've forgotten or didn't read it was:

Sounds like a nice inspiring quote right? I thought so too. BUT if you check again you'll find out that it's no longer in my favorite quote section. Why? I deleted it coz I realized that there's A TERRIBLE MISTAKE INCLUDED...can you spot it out? Let me help you out if you haven't:..."WE ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE..." you may or not agree with that observation but read on...

The quote, contains some truth when read out of context but I was shocked when I found out the message of the main text and about its author and I just wanted to share it with you guys coz I don't want to be responsible for misleading people.

The quote is from a book called "A Return to Love: A Reflection on the principles of A Course in Miracles",written by Marianne Williamson. I don't want to go into great depth but what I wanted you to know is that the author of the book is a prominent advocate of the New Age movement and the book is a tool to spread those New Age beliefs e.g that human beings are gods,there are many paths to the same place, Jesus is not the only way, there is no sin hence no need for salvation, the universe is not big enough for one true God, etc. It puts man at the center and pushes God out of the equation. So I'm sorry if I misled you by sharing that quote with you,.. I don't want to play any part in promoting that movement of deception.

The quote may still sound true to you even within the context but just be careful to take in the truth e.g we should let our light shine, and shun the idea suggesting that we are powerful beyond measure since you all know that there is a limit to our power, and the only one who is powerful beyond measure is The Almighty GOD, not man.

Some other books with such New Age ideas include: The New Earth, The Secret and A Course in Miracles (Update: And the books Oprah recommends through her book club. And books by Eckhart Tolle). So please avoid or take caution if you decide to read any of these books because their content may sound true but when you look at it closely you realize that it fosters materialism, greed and lies and goes against biblical truth.

So just be careful what you take in...there are many false teachers and teachings out there.
Don't be deceived.

"But it's easy to be deceived since there are many false teachers out there!" you may exclaim.
Yes, you're right there are many false teachers out there...and its a BIG DEAL!! that's why 3 New Testament books of the Bible say: "Watch out for false teachers!!"

So how can we avoid being deceived by these false teachers and teachings?
Jude 20-23 answers this question for us and tells us to:
-Build our faith- Count on the Bible.
-Pray and let God's Spirit guide you.
-Keep yourself in God's love

Hey NPCArians :) Miss you guys! Wish I was there for the reunion. You're probably wondering what's going on with me from judging my facebook activities... Yeah we have a lot of catching up to do lol. Remember in class 6 (Mr. Chege's class) there was a time we had "Free Lesson" and sometimes "Double Free Lesson" when the teacher didn't show up and we had free time to do our homework? Well during that free time I started reading the Bible for myself. Yeah we always read the Bible at church and I memorized Scripture in Sunday School (for candy and other rewards lol)  but that was the year I started reading it just because I wanted to. And when I did, I was like "Wow! This is sooo good! I didn't know all this stuff was in here!" and I was hooked lol. Most people start with the New Testament but I started with the Old Testament. I like mysteries so I would read Genesis and then I spent a lot of time on prophetic books then I went to Revelation then eventually Acts, the letters and the gospels. When I started with the prophetic books I found it interesting so I would share stuff with my deskie then slowly more people gathered and then we kinda formed our own Bible study. Remember that?  I don't know remember what I was telling you guys because I didn't know what the prophecies were talking about lol but it was fun and interesting to talk about (all the different symbols and possible meanings and other spiritual stuff). But then something changed, I shared with you my story at the InterVarsity leaders retreat (post: Hello Africans). So after God set me free I went back to being myself and sharing things I was learning. But the difference was when I was reading some prophecies they were actually making sense which was really cool. So yes God opened my eyes to see things differently but at the same time the prophecies that were sealed have been unsealed!!!! He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. (Daniel 12:9) This is so exciting friends!!! We are at the brink of the endtimes! The dawn of a new season. So what's the Spirit of prophecy? First...

*Gift of Prophecy= (Definition from: Spiritual gift test analysis) The special ability God gives to some to proclaim the Word of God with clarity and to apply it fearlessly with a view to the strengthening, encouragement, and comfort of believers and the convincing of unbelievers. The special gift whereby the Spirit empowers certain Christians to interpret and apply God's revelation in a given situation. The divine enablement to reveal truth and proclaim it in a timely and relevant manner for understanding, correction, repentance, or edification. There may be immediate or future implications. People with this gift: 

- expose sin or deception in others for the purpose of reconciliation 

- speak a timely word from God causing conviction, repentance, and edification 

- see truth that others often fail to see and challenge them to respond 

- warn of God's immediate or future judgment if there is no repentance 

- understand God's heart and mind through experiences He takes them through.

*Dreams and Visions* ♫ I can show you the world... I can open your eyes... ♫
One time I went to the prayer shed on D.P. for their prayer and prophecy night (Monday nights). So when they prayed for me one of them asked me, "Are you resisting the prophetic?" And I was like, "No. I'd love to have visions and supernatural experiences. That would be fun!" but he told me he still felt like I was resisting the prophetic. I was confused but later on I figured out what he meant. He had also asked me about the last time I dreamt and I told him that I couldn't remember. And that was the problem. You see when I was younger I used to dream a lot but I found it be annoying lol. I thought I would get better sleep without those "insignificant" random dreams. So one day I decided that I didn't want to dream again lol so I didn't from then on. (Yeah I know we still dream but we don't remember them all. So yeah I stopped remembering my dreams). So that was the problem. Dreams are one way through which God speaks (sends messages) so I was blocking it since I didn't think my dreams had any meaning. So when I realized that I prayed and I told God "Okay I want to dream again." And yeah I started dreaming again (remembering my dreams) but really faint dreams but I could get the gist of the message. I shared some of my dreams in my posts and I'll share some more later.

"Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." (Revelation 19:10)

"The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant  John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. (Revelation 1: 1-3)

So yeah, from the definition of prophecy above some of you can see that you have the gift so now God wants to pour out more of His Spirit. The Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. Jesus is going to fill us up with more of His Spirit so that we can know Him better (the Spirit reveals Jesus to us. post: Eyes Wide Open) so that we can have a testimony of who He really is (both Lord and Christ) to share with others and to have fun with Him. "God is going to deliver us from boredom into the beauty of the revelation of Jesus Christ"- Corey Russell. "Only Jesus, His person, His presence, and His power can satisfy the longings of a generation for love, pleasure, and impact." #FascinateConference. Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”(Revelation 21:5) His renewal work starts within us from the moment we believe but it doesn't end there. He is yet to show us more of His salvation. We are going into a new season (more of His Spirit= more Love, more Power, more Glory) when we'll actually live like Jesus and his disciples in the Bible did and Jesus said we will do even greater things than He did (related post: Pimp my ride) ♫ Let me share this whole new world with you♫ -Love Jesus. :-) Check out this video lol.

Spirit of Elijah- Ministry of Preparation: Repentance and Reconciliation

This is he of whom it is written, "Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 11: 10-15)

Elijah didn't die; he was taken up to heaven with chariots of fire. So in the verse above Jesus says that John the baptist is the Elijah who was to return. So what I mean by "spirit of Elijah" is his mantle. The ministry of preparation. The urgency to prepare the way for Jesus, the soon returning Messiah (His second coming). Check out this video (Yohanna is John in Swahili. My sister and I were playing around trying to imitate my grandma's singing lol. It's a Kikuyu song about John the baptist we didn't know all the words so yeah haha).

*Judgment and Covenant Renewal*

There's an urgency that comes with the spirit of Elijah (ministry of preparation). Yes because Jesus is coming back soon but also because there will be judgement upon the earth in the endtimes before Jesus 2nd coming (the great tribulation period). Personally, ever since my experience at prefall (baptism of the Holy Spirit) I feel that urgency (the urgent need for everyone to repent and to reconcile). God is about to shake things up pretty soon! Prophecies are just about to unfold!

"Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts."(Read all of Malachi 3)
*Malachi 4* “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty. “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel. “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.

*2012 & Rosh Hashanah*

In the 70's Katherine Kuhlman prophesied that one day a great revival would come out of Santa Barbara and would spread to the whole world. Yes there will be a great awakening but also great shaking especially in America (details later). This is the year of the Lord's favor and The day of vengeance of our God. (Isaiah 61). God is a God of Love and Justice. Next week is Rosh Hashanah, the head of  Jewish New Year, or Feast of Trumpets (the evening of Sunday, September 16, 2012, and ends in the evening of Tuesday, September 18, 2012). So yeah 2012 is the year but following the Jewish calender so starts in Septemer and overlaps into 2013.

"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."(Isaiah 40: 30-31) Let's choose to wait for the Lord! Let's choose to soar! :) Listen to this really encouraging prophetic song. God is calling us to Himself to His peace, love and rest. We don't have to fear anything.  Let's run to Him! Beauty & the Beast: Prologue

The Ugly Exchange

(The Fall of Mankind)

A. Royalty in the Beginning

*B&B:Once Upon a Time a young prince lived in a shiny castle. Although he had everything his heart desired...

*A&E:"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth... Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1)
Note: The prince is royalty and he has everything he wants. Adam and Eve are also royalty since they are made in the image of God and in Genesis 1:28-29 God gives them the food they need to survive and commissions them to fill the earth and rule over it.

Rebuke the devil! Flee from temptation! =)

B. Temptations. Lost Identity. The Ugly Exchange :(
*B&B:Although he had everything his heart desired the prince was spoiled, selfish and unkind but then.... the enchantress comes along disguised as an old beggar to test him. He failed the test and was therefore turned into a hideous beast due to a selfish decision he made, the decision not to love. Not only did his decision affect him but also his whole castle and all who lived in it were placed under a powerful spell which would only be broken if he could learn to love another and earn their love in return before the last petal fell. If not he'd be doomed to remain a beast for eternity. Narrator: "As the years passed, he fell into despair, and lost all hope, For who could ever learn to love...a Beast?"

*A&E: Adam and Eve had everything they needed (close relationship with God, food to eat and authority to rule over the earth) and lived in harmony until the Tempter (the devil) came along in the form of a snake to test them. There was one tree that Adam and Eve were told not to eat from (the tree of knowledge of good and evil). So the devil used that to trick them: "You will not certainly die (if she ate of it's fruit),” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. (vs. 4-6) So yeah, they fell for the devil's trick- he made them feel inferior yet they had all that they needed and they were royalty. So they became insecure and fell for the trick . They chose not to abide in God's love and the harmony created for them (by choosing not to trust God- the source of life), but chose to satisfy their bodily desires (lust, hunger for power and wisdom) hence they fell. So the ugly exchange happened. They leave the garden ashamed and under a curse, in fact, all of creation falls under the same curse (death and decay). The only way to break the curse is through a relationship with Love. "So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?" (Paul in Romans 7:21-24) (This is how and when the Kingdom of the world got to be secretly ruled by the devil. More about that in: THE KINGDOMS)

The Beautiful Exchange

(The Salvation of Mankind)

~Love came to the Rescue- The First Coming~

*Belle("Beauty")- In the story, Belle (Beauty) ended up being separated from her father and got stuck living with the Beast and she later started to fall in love with him despite his obvious flaws. The love of Beauty, the antithesis of his 'beastliness' is what was necessary to break the spell.
*Jesus ("Savior")- In reality, God came down to earth as Jesus (Emmanuel= God with us) not just to live among us to relate to us but to take upon Himself the punishment of our sin (the death penalty). It is the love and sacrifice of this loving and Holy God that sets us free from the curse! and restores the broken relationship =)
"What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"(Romans 7: 24-25)
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
"This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." (1 John 4:10)

Conclusion: So yeah, friends, it's time for us to remember who we are. Our real identity. Who God created us  to be (to be in relationship with Him. Abiding in His Love. Depending on Him) We are royalty!!! God really loves us. Just as we are. We don't have to earn it. Jesus paid the price for our sins. We are free! We just need to believe it to receive it. Jesus is mighty! He breaks all our chains and then fills us with His Love which really does satisfy- that's what our soul craves for. So yeah, just let Him come into your heart and fight all your battles for you. He is just waiting for us to come back to Him. Let's seek Him first coz that's when we find Him and everything else will fall into place. And He has such good plans for us! "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33) I'll share my testimony soon! There's no love like His Love!!!
