Stand By Me!

For Spring break I was at my sister Yvonne's house in Anaheim then I was about to leave for my other sister's house in Murrieta when I passed by the printer and this caught my eye. The Kenyan flag hoisted and the American flag down, lying beneath it. Yvonne's house always had the Kenyan flags and I had seen Zoey playing with the American flag with Trevor and I guess she left it there. Actually the night before I left we were talking about the end times -- Yvonne had actually initiated it with her hubby's sister who's a christian but didn't know about rapture then I joined in their convo. Anway, back to the story, so the first thing this 'vision' triggered is a movie I had watched last Fall, "Olympus has fallen"[Synopsis: When the White House (Secret Service Code: "Olympus") is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning's inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President and avert an even bigger crisis.] It reminded me of that movie and a lot of prophecies about a lot of stuff that's gonna go down soon in the endtimes we're living in. "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs." ~ Jesus (Matthew 24: 6-8)

PREPARE FOR WAR: UNITY

So throughout this break everything I kept watching with my nephews and niece and sister was about *UNITY* ~ that's what kept jumping at me. "All for One and One for all"~ when I was watching Mickey mouse with Trevor. "We're all in this together" song when my sister was watching High school musical. And "team-work" and "Dora working with her friends to solve problems" when Zoey was watching TV and everyone on facebook was watching Frozen and talking about it. Why am I making a big deal out of this? Coz these are the kinds of visions I get. Yes God speaks to us in different ways. And what really gripped me was this song below (I heard it when the Brick Mansions trailer came up on youtube. Also the words"Prepare for War" stood out to me) --there's an urgency to it, like a war cry and call to action. And yeah all the other movies I watched with my sis were super hero movies trying to save the world from massive destruction. It's time for Boot Camp! <~Mulan style :-)

WAKE UP WATCHMEN!!! SOUND THE ALARM!!!

The First call of action goes out to the watchmen. I read this verse today: “So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, you shall give them warning from Me" (Ezekiel 33:7) God was reminding me to be myself...coz it's not the sake for myself but others and more importantly Him - my relationship with Him."But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand." (Ezekiel 33:6) So this is a call for people like me, obedience in sharing His Word. A call to have the fear of the LORD and not to fear man.

The watchman replies, "Morning is coming, but also the night. If you would ask, then ask; and come back yet again." (Isaiah 21:12)

"THE SKY IS FALLING" A CALL TO PRAYER!

Yesterday we drove into Anaheim, and it had rained in the morning so there were huge clouds in the sky which just attracted my eyes to the skies. I wanted to take a picture but my phone was dead so I borrowed my sister's phone and here's one of the shots I took. My niece was playing with the American flag so I decided to use it in the picture. This shot reminded me of the stand by me song and of "The Sky is Falling" post in my drafts which is basically about how the heavens and earth will be shaken in the last days. And later that night I read Isaiah 33-35 and I think it's a warning for America and a call to prayer and repentance for everyone. Also the same day I saw this youtube video titled: "The Skies are Falling" about lawlessness in America.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

*Please interceed for America. I mentioned earlier in the vision of the Kenyan and American flag that it reminded me of the "Olympus has fallen"movie (which also reminded me of the Fall of Babylon prophecy in my REVOLUTION post) and I first thought it just meant that God is calling me to rise up and interceed because I can see what's coming. But I also just realized that last summer Kenya experience a terrorist attack at the West Gate mall which was horrible but people also noted that though it was heartbreaking and devastating it caused different Kenyans from different backgrounds to work together. That's great but also some months before that, different apostles and prophets had called for fasting and praying and unity in worship during the election season and many Kenyans heeded and there was no election violence. So prayer is definitely powerful when it partners the prophetic. So what's the connection to America's situation? Many people have been prophesying America's Fall, and not just through prophecy but many scholars just through analysis of the times and trends... so what I'm saying is let's not wait for some disaster to happen for us to be united... united in love and in prayer and worship. Whether or not you see or believe what I'm saying Let's Rise up now and seek God's face. 

More Confirmation: This is urgent! God has been telling people to pray for America, it's at great risk of being attacked by it's enemies. And some people God told them to watch out for the end of March onwards. We are at the end of March so let's not just "wait and see" let's "watch and wait"--> Wake Up and Pray! Prayer Alert for United States Locations - The Lord Says, "Shields Up!" <- Go to that link to read the rest of the message. "This is what I am hearing today: For the Lord says, "Shields up! This is the time for the watchman to have keen eyes and discernment. The enemy is at the door and wants to stir up havoc, but I will give My people eagle eyes to see what is being planned."

Last thing, this is not a call to fear but to return to God with our whole hearts, be grounded in love  and to really pray for this land. Read Psalm 91 and Psalm 46. Though times are changing. God is our shield and security and He still has great plans for us and so much purpose for our lives especially in this season. So let's return to the first Love.
Jesus is all that we need.

Dry Bones

The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, "Sovereign Lord, you alone know." 

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (Ezekiel 37:1-6)

People, it's Time to Remember Who We Are! =)

"Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord." (Ezekiel 37: 11-14)

In the post Real Identity, God confirmed to me that we are in a season of awakening. He is awakening us to our REAL identity, who He made us to be, His children. And along with that He revealed to me that there are "dry bones" among us (Jewish bloodline) and we don't even know it and the Jewish blood is not just somewhere among the three ethnic groups I mentioned, I don't have all the puzzle pieces, but I believe it's in more ethnic groups than that. I'll go into that later (I'm breaking down my posts) but yeah, it is in God that we find our identity so it is time for all of us to turn back to Him and seek Him with all our hearts. He has so much in store for us in the new season we're going into!! :D Let's return to His rest and He'll do the rest. He shall renew, revive, restore and redeem! Yay! I'm excited! =)

*N.B: I say "we" and "let us" because I'm actually talking to myself as well. Yeah God taught me that stuff a long time ago but I still have identity issues (I get distracted/forget easily) so this quarter He's been telling me over and over again: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE! So yeah,  I'm still on my way to who I am but I like to share the journey. K, let's remember, let's return, let's rest :-)

GREAT NEWS! This is the year of restoration!!! :) But restoration begins with rest... So God's been telling me: Just rest in My Love. Rest in your identity in Me (My beloved daughter). And all the rest shall follow. It's pretty simple right? Yes it is. But there are so many distractions and obstacles that keep us from resting in God's love. I listed some of mine in the Journey post. So the desert season is a time to re-focus and to find rest; a time to wait on God (post: WAIT!). [Main Section: The last one- You better claim those blessings!!! :) Coming soon! A Call to Wait. A Call to Fast]

So the latest obstacle that keeps me from resting in God's love is...I like to share. So I feel guilty waiting on God to show me His glory and satisfy me with His Love when I'm on my own coz I feel selfish. Ridiculous right? But yeah, I usually feel like I should be sharing that experience with others. I'm a giver but that showed me that I have issues with receiving. But I've been letting go of my insecurities and I can feel God at work. He is renewing my mind which allows me to see His great love for me and to just rest in Him. His restoration begins within us. He wants to fill us with His love, joy and peace regardless of whatever craziness is going on around us. He wants us to know Him as our Father and know that His Love is all that we need. To find our identity and security in Him alone. To be rooted in His great Love for us =)

Promised Land! New Season! Renewal! Restoration!

So if you've been following my blog you've probably heard all of that before so what does it have to do with you? Like I said, I'm a giver so when God teaches me something I like to share. So I look at those around me who may be in the same position I am in because that Word would apply to them as well and that's how God started showing me the bigger picture. So this Word is for everyone. It's for me but not just for me, it's for families, it's for Africans in America, it's for bloodline Jewish people, it's for the Church, it's for everyone! :) I'll go into separate posts about those but here's a little preview.

For the Church: A New Season is coming and it's here. God wants to usher us into a time of increase which is great and I'm sure we all want that. But the thing is we have a part to play, we need to be thirsty for more and to wait on Him to fill us with more. So in this case complacency stands in opposition with what God wants to do. I realized that's the main Word that God gave me to share with InterVarsity: to wait on Him. We got distracted by focussing on what we already had, what God has already done in the past and that's great; let's be thankful but let's not stop there, God wants to do more. All the drama happened as prophesied (spiritual warfare. The devil trying to oppose God's plans) and kept distracting me from sharing this great news. The desert for me has been a time of extremes: feeling unseen, unloved, and misunderstood but when I looked up Jesus would find me and overwhelm me with His love which is too good to keep to myself so I'd want to share this treasure I had found but the cycle kept happening. Anyway, Church, this is the Word God gave me for us (His body): We are going into a season of increase! More prophesies are about to be fulfulled! This is the season of the latter rains! The church will be filled with greater glory than before and we shall do greater works than Jesus did! And all He wants us to do first is wait on Him. He shall fill us up and add to our numbers. He shall fill us up and send us out. Revival starts with us :) Isaiah 61 and Acts 1-2. So yeah, let's thirst and wait for Him. The King of Glory wants to show us His glory :) It helps if we did it together coz that's what God wants us to do as a body (Acts 1 and 1 Samuel 7) but waiting for everyone to be on the same page to apply God's word is a distraction in itself (it has been for me). So don't wait for people, wait for God (with or without people). "How thirsty are you for more of God? What's keeping you for going after more?" Answering those questions will reveal idols in our lives (anything we put before relationship with God). So yeah let's wait on God! He wants to draw us closer to fill us with His love, to heal us, to refine us and to prepare us for the greater works we were purposed for. We are going to be who we were created to be. This is our destiny church! Let's embrace it! Let's trust God with our all. Greater things are yet to come!!! =) Confirmation: You can watch the beginning of this clip:  New Season just around the bend :) God gave him a vision of the coming season that the church is about to going into. God showed him young people, high school and college students ... just watch it for yourself. It's so exciting! Heaven's coming down =)

For families, Africans, bloodline Jewish people = Like I said, God has been showing me the bigger picture out of stuff from my life and experiences. He showed me that this is the year for restoration for hearts back to Him and also for families back to each other. Through the promises He gave me for my family, I realized that He gave me passages that were about the Restoration of the people of Israel (like Isaiah 49). So it went hand-in-hand with what He revealed to me in the post: REAL Identity. So yeah, God is doing something new this season. He is flipping things around. Lifting up those who are bowed down. He shall bring deliverance to the oppressed. We are not forgotten. The Lord is our Redeemer. Let's wait for Him :)

For Everyone: God is turning things around for those who trust in Him and wait for Him. So whoever you are. Let's all return to pride rock, Jesus is the only firm foundation, the only One who we can trust even when times are changing. He is the manifestation of God's Love for us. So let's receive God's love. It's FREE!!! :DHe shall wipe away all our offenses and restore our hearts and give us new names: Sons and Daughters of the Most High God (post: I have a Father). In the post Journey God told me that it's Homecoming Season!!! Not only are we children of God but heirs to the Kingdom and if we live with Him then we shall also reign with Him. This is sooo exciting!!! You don't wanna miss out on this! It's gonna be the time of our lives!! =D God is going to bring restoration to our lives then send us out to restore others =)

"Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago." (Acts 3: 19-21) Below are  some external blessings God wants to give us as well.

To repent just means to turn back to God with all our hearts and to find rest in His Love. I've been really weak and hopeless many times this past year, not just due to my own brokenness but carrying the brokenness of those I love and it's been tough. But in those dark times God shone through and gave me hope and strength to move on. When I lay my burdens down at His feet He keeps raising me up even when I feel powerless. He is Faithful. He is Love and I shall praise Him for His Goodness all day long! Let's give thanks! Let's hang onto all His promises. They shall come to pass. And while we are waiting let's just praise Him in advance =)

  

This is THE year of God's FAVOR and RESTORATION! It's Time for RAIN! =)

Update: So I just watched this video clip: Build My tabernacle and it got me excited. It gave me more confirmation. In the video, she talks about how God has issued the call for people to re-build His tabernacle in Israel where His glory will dwell in the endtimes and provide healing for the nations. That reminded me of this post and also the beginning of The Bubble post. The video also gives a Call to fast for 10 days starting tomorrow 2/3/2013. I've been wanting to fast this week but I wasn't organized enough so that gave me confirmation and motivation (which has also been the case in the past). So yeah, let's fast, it will increase our hunger and thirst for Him and let's wait on Him to fill us. There's different kinds of fasts. I talked about the Daniel fast in previous posts so you can click on the label below.

Let's wait on God and ask Him to prepare us so that we can be a dwelling place for Him. Worship really helps me to be still and press into His presence and I like worshipping with other people so let me know if you wanna join me this week :-)

The Beast & The Big Boys

"You're playing with "the big boys" now"

Hey =) During Winter break I was watching Beauty & the Beast with my niece then God opened my eyes to learn stuff through it. I shared some stuff in a post in December but I learnt a lot more that was too much for one post so I had to break it down. In the prologue post, The Beast represented mankind who had fallen from royalty and Beauty represented Jesus who came to save mankind through His sacrifical Love. In this post I focus on Geston who is the actual beast of the show and I learnt the real identity of the real beast (The Anti-Christ) :o

Puzzle Piece #1: Mr. Popularity

I'll just start off by saying who he is: The beast, the Anti-Christ prophesied in the Bible is Mr. President, Barack Obama! :o Shocked? I was kinda shocked too when I found out -I say kinda because I could see some signs but I didn't want to believe it was true. I didn't make this discovery right off the bat. Here are the puzzle pieces I received and some confirmation I got. 

God showed me that Geston represented the Anti-Christ. I didn't know who it was then but now that I do he matches the description I got. Listen to the words of the song below. Doesn't it just describe Obama? Remember the response from the world when he was first elected.

Here some of the lyrics: ♫ There's no man in town as admired as you. You're ev'ryone's favorite guy. Ev'ryone's awed and inspired by you. And it's not very hard to see why. No one's slick as Gaston. No one's quick as Gaston...No one hits like Gaston Matches wits like Gaston... In a wrestling match nobody bites like Gaston. For there's no one as burly and brawny... Say it again. Who's a man among men? And then say it once more Who's the hero next door? Who's a super success? Don't you know? I got confirmation from this prophetic site I was led to; here's an extract from Kevin Mirasi's blog "...The first message that was imparted in my heart from the dream and vision within a dream was that the son of perdition, the Anti-Christ is now spreading his likeability worldwide and to this effect he has sent envoys to pass his messages and thoughts to the world (including Kenya, the birth place of his biological father) on how he wants the nations of the earth to progress politically... I suddenly found myself in what looked like a vision and in this vision I found myself in another gathering and in this gathering were very many audiences and they were being addressed by the USA President Barack Obama. He was wearing a black suit, a white shirt and a black tie. And he was giving a speech to an enthusiastic/ecstatic crowd as he gave a crowd- pulling speech loaded with what the audience believed to be “intelligence, brilliance and wisdom” -Kevin Mirasi. When I was back in Kenya, Obama was a senator and he had come to Kenya this one time to visit his Father's hometown and he gave a speech. And he sounded sincere like he actually wanted to bring change ("Change you can believe in") and I actually believed him. And now with the elections coming up he has been doing the same thing to spread his popularity. Let's open our eyes people!

Puzzle Piece #2: Secret Meetings. Evil Plans: New World Order

That same Winter break I was on youtube then I randomly clicked on the "Be prepared" song from Lion King. And God revealed to me more stuff through that. As I listened to the words I learnt that Scar represented the Anti-Christ. I didn't know his identity at that time but I got a knowing that he was here and was making plans in secret to usher in the New World order and also to persecute Christians. In Lion King, Simba (Mufasa's pride) represents God's people (those who trust in Jesus). Also, in Beauty & the beast, Geston and his group want to ♫Kill the beast! (represents the God' people who the anti-christ will make out to be the enemy and will persecute them) ♫

Some of the lyrics: ♫ So prepare for a chance of a lifetime. Be prepared for sensational news. A shining new era. Is tiptoeing nearer... But you'll be rewarded When at last I am given my dues And injustice deliciously squared. Be prepared!... Of course, quid pro quo, you're expected To take certain duties on board The future is littered with prizes And though I'm the main addressee The point that I must emphasize is You won't get a sniff without me! So prepare for the coup of the century (Oooh!) Be prepared for the murkiest scam... Respected, saluted (...aaaaaaah...) And seen for the wonder I am (...aaaaaaah!) Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared (Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo) Be prepared! ♫

Here's confirmation: Read all of Daniel 7. We are in the fourth kingdom prophesied in Daniel 2 - a mixed and divided kingdom -> multiethnicity & multiculturalism and disunity (I shared this in the Real Identity post) [and even divided politically judging from the results of this past election] in Daniel 7 the fourth beast is the Anti-Christ. vs. 20 "the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom."

More Confirmation: Back to Kevin Mirasi's first dream I quoted from,"While still in this vision within a dream, I was made to pay particular attention on the speech he was giving and the statements he was making and also his choice words. He was using a very boastful language as he blasphemed God Almighty and the Bible. And I was made to clearly hear him saying the following with swagger, charisma, boastfulness and pride: “We don’t need the Bible all the time to solve our problems and challenges; we’ve got a greater message to pass across!!!”. I was made to understand in this vision within a dream that this greater message to be passed across had got everything to do with the New World Order movement and also the mark of the beast." And in another dream, "And as I continued to look at him in the dream I was reminded in my heart of Adolf Hitler. And in the dream I was made to understand that just as ruthless as Adolf Hitler was, so would Barack Obama be. And that he would evolve from his apparent “cool guy status” to a brutal cold blooded dictator." (you can read more of that dream here->Dream2<-)

*Scar, who represents the Anti-Christ, also resembles Hitler in that scene with the hyena's marching and saluting him). Some more confirmation you can watch this ->video<- It shows parallel's between Nazi Germany and the New World Order that's being ushered in by Obama.

Illuminati, Martial Law & The Mark of the Beast

So in the Be prepared clip the hyenas represent the illuminati. They choose to be on the side of the Beast due to the promises he makes to them. Then yesterday (1/2/12) I looked up the illuminati since I hadn't heard of them and I realized that they are part of the tactics of the deception movement and false teachings that the enemy is using to prepare the way for the antichrist and some celebrities are involved."

Martial Law will also be introduced. And the anti-Christ will eventually show himself for who he is and he will have his own prophet (false prophet) who will perform some miracles to get people to worship him. The mark of the beast is the RFID chip that will be introduced by ObamaCare. DO NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST NO MATTER WHAT. Read Revelation 13.  Confirmation link: Obama RFID. He gives us the power to soar and to endure the present and though there will be bumps on this narrow road Jesus has the victory in the end so let's get on His team. Update 4/2014

Hey people =) Here's an update of the above info that I shared in 2012. So God told me that the year 2012 was going to be "The Dawn of a New Era" and a lot of things have happened since then but not everything that could have happened that year took place, because of the grace of God - He is waiting for His people to be prepared (Unite and fight. This is spiritual warfare) - we, His army, are the ones that call down the reign of heaven. 

At the same time, the enemy the devil has been preparing his own army in these last days. Quick update: 

• 2012- Obama was re-elected president - The Anti-Christ prophesied in Daniel and Revelation (and other prophetic books). I have a post in my drafts called "Changing Times" where I share more confirmation I received when taking a class over the summer called "The Obama Phenomenon." 
• 2012 - The old pope quit and Pope Francis was arose - The Anti-Christ's sidekick / false prophet ("The Beast out of the sea" prophesied in Revelation). It's funny how this happened coz that was my guess, then the pope quit all of a sudden and Pope Francis took over, and his whole inauguration or whatever it's called was fishy with the white smoke and all... other people wrote articles about how that was a sign that we are living in the endtimes. Don't know where I saved the article but you can look online if you want. And everyone loves Pope Francis but just keep your eyes open and fixed on Jesus, coz the devil comes dressed as an angel of light. So yeah, once again I'm not hating on people, this is spiritual warfare and the point is to lean into God closer and interceed for others not to fall for the devil's lies in these endtimes.

• Obamacare - Was passed and there's an "individual mandate" for everyone to get it. This is an agenda that Obama pushed for right when he was campaigning for presidency. Yes healthcare is good, affordable healthcare is great (coming from a future doctor) but you need to WAKE UP to the times we're living in coz things are not what they seem, lots of spiritual warfare up in here in this final kingdom before God makes all things new (Daniel 2 prophecies) ObamaDontCare about your soul!!... and as was prophesied by the prophet Kevin Mirasi and others, the mark of the beast, the RFID chip will eventually be introduced through ObamaCare (since that's something everyone will be required to get) as a "Medical ID" and also to be a cashless society for environmental reasons and to be tracked by the government. And this really is "the mark of the beast" once you get it, there's no turning back and hell is your destiny :'((((((( This is harsh Truth but it must be told. My brother sent me a video with more revelation about this chip and the fact that it actually changes your DNA that's why there's no return after that. So please warn people about this, I know it sounds crazy but I've seen many crazy prophesies that God gave me happen and others that are all lined up to take place... and it's all over the media as well.

• Illuminati agenda and symbology in music, media and entertainment - Example: Katy Perry's Dark horse. So I was asleep in my sister's car on our way to Anaheim then I woke up to this song on the radio: "So you wanna play with magic? Boy, you should know what you're falling for. Baby do you dare to do this? Cause I’m coming at you like a dark horse. Are you ready for, ready for A perfect storm, perfect storm? Cause once you’re mine, once you’re mine. There’s no going back" then there was like 2 songs after that about California then some reporting about all the earthquakes we've been having (I'll comment on the earthquakes later but you can refer to the: REVOLUTION post) That song was in my head later on coz I was a bit puzzled by what the actual message was so I decided to look up the lyrics and I saw the name of the song: Dark Horse and it immediately made me think of the 4 horses of the apocalypse in Revelation. Then I saw this video about how the Grammy's was full of satanic symbology especially Katy Perry's Dark Horse performance: http://youtu.be/B-rctMEjP9E

Fall Fast

Means: Set apart for God. Dedicated. Sanctified. Devoted.

Wow. I get distracted really easily by starting too many things at once and then getting nothing done, plus I've been busy. I have a bunch of stuff to share in my drafts but nothing's finished yet. I just need to settle down and focus! Anyway, this one's urgent. It's a call to fast. I was planning to fast again and invite people to join me to fast for ourselves, for UCSB, California, America, the world, when I was back at school but a worldwide fast has already been called for September 1st (yeah sorry I didn't share this earlier). A 60 day fast. I'm going to do a Daniel fast. But you can do whatever fast you feel led to do (juice, water, esther fasts ...) For more info on the Daniel fast: A Call to Fast (March).

I like what Misty Edwards said about fasting she said it's more for us to have an increased capacity to understand God more.

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there. (2 Chronicles 7: 13-16)

Let's seek His face, ask Him to open our eyes, to search us inside and to break our hearts for what breaks His and to fill us with more of His presence =)

WINTER FAST starting February 2014

I'm tired of doing things in my own strength and according to my own understanding. I want to rest in God. I want more of His love and power, I want Him! All of Him. I want breakthrough in my life and beyond. I want to be set on fire by the power of His love. A 40 day fast has been called (You can watch this vide: I shall now pour out My Spirit). I'll do another post on fasting but just wanted to extend the invitation to fast this month, let's press in to God for more!

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." (Matthew 5:6)

A Call to Fast

So I'm a procrastinator so I usually have a lot of unfinished business to take care of. I'm easily distracted as well (I have been) so I never get to address the most important issues I wanna address. So I figured that I'll just get to the point right now. So the main point of all my messages is: we need to fast and pray!!!

At the end of Fall Quarter God showed me through His Word the importance and power of fasting and praying. The enemy, the devil, has strongholds in the land (the Kingdoms of the world are heavily influenced by his schemes) and the only way for these stronghold to be overcome is by God himself. So that's what fasting and praying does. It's calling out to God to do what only He can do.

Another thing, I noticed when fasting and prayer occurred in the old testament it was usually corporate (everybody!) for a whole day or three and it always resulted in large-scale revival and defeat of enemies. This Scripture: *1 Samuel 7* keeps playing like a broken record since the end of Fall Quarter (usually when I'm praying/thinking about InterVarsity). Read the whole thing. I'll highlight some verses:

5 Then Samuel said, “Assemble all Israel at Mizpah, and I will intercede with the LORD for you.” 6 When they had assembled at Mizpah, they drew water and poured it out before the LORD. On that day they fasted and there they confessed, “We have sinned against the LORD.” ...8 They said to Samuel, “Do not stop crying out to the LORD our God for us, that he may rescue us from the hand of the Philistines.” 9 Then Samuel took a suckling lamb and sacrificed it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. He cried out to the LORD on Israel’s behalf, and the LORD answered him. 10 While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the LORD thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites."

So I went into Winter Quarter with the conviction we need all come together and fast and pray and worship (fixing our eyes on God for He is our only Hope, Help and Salvation). And gosh! I have never faced that much opposition in my life (spiritual warfare)- well I've had a similar experience in the sixth grade but this time it was more intense. Pretty much the devil knows the power of corporate, intentional prayer/intercession, worship and fasting so he tries to bring disillusionment, confusion and disunity to prevent that from happening. So yeah last quarter I was super-discouraged because of disunity and I let that affect my own response to what God was teaching me.

So in Winter God brought up another type of fasting. 40 day fasting. Moses did this when he got the 10 commandments from God and Jesus also did it right before He started His ministry. I noticed they both fasted in the wilderness and identity and ministry was significant. There is a post I still haven't published or typed lol :( called "The Desert"- God has taught me a lot about this Desert season we are in and why we are here and why we need to fast. Jesus fasted yet He was sinless, so yeah we really need to fast too (for ourselves and others).

After last Quarter of lots of spiritual battle, I was determined to not let the devil's schemes keep me from fixing my eyes on God (praying, fasting, worship) so I decided to start off Spring quarter with a fast. I know God had highlighted 40 days but I was like "I'm in school and there's no way I'm fasting for 40 days on water only unless you want to see me passed out on the bike path lol. It might be "easier" if I withdrew to some wilderness to fast but I'm stuck in school." And so I decided to do a 40 day Daniel fast just taking a week at a time. God gave me a lot of confirmation about this decision. I ran into the clip below at the end of Winter and God confirmed to me the urgency of prayer and fasting.

I was planning to just fast by myself since I have been discouraged by my failed attempts to organize people or get them to listen to me. But yesterday God confirmed to me that He is actually calling His bride to fast (Here's the confirmation video).

So yeah, this is not about me. I just want to share the things God has been teaching me and I'll keep sharing whether or not people are listening. So yeah you can stop by my blog for that, better yet, you can use that spare time to seek God for yourself and He will confirm what He is saying (Ecclesiastes 5:1-7 "... Draw near to listen..."). We are approaching a time when we won't need to be taught by people anymore (Jeremiah 31:31-34, The New Covenant) because we will allow the Holy Spirit to fully fill us and to guide us. But since we all are not there yet God will use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to train His body. So yeah let's actually listen to what God is saying to us, through each other. *The Holy Spirit lives inside all believers* (You can read: "A Call for Unity in the Body of Christ").

*Oh yeah if what I've shared has filled you with fear or worry, don't be afraid/ worried. A lot of spiritual truths tend to be overlooked by the Western church leaving people in ignorance hence fear creeps in. But God wants to change that- He wants to change what we think is the normal (=revival). What we call "normal" Christianity now is not what the actual normal is (look at the whole Bible, look at the book of Acts- that's the real normal). For some of us, through individual, cultural experiences or experiences with different churches we have seen the real normal being lived out. God has let us go through those experiences for times like these so that we can share them. That's what God is calling us to do -share our lives. Acts 2. So let's be free to be ourselves- who God calls us to be, free to share, free to fellowship :)

*Another thing! lol If 40 days seems too much to commit to then start small. Start with a day, then make it 3, then make it 7, see how that goes then make it 21, then 40 :) Let's take a day at a time. The focus is God - let's seek Him for wisdom, peace and strength :) Let's find rest in His great Love :-)

*And if you don't feel ready for this fasting business, that's okay (no condemnation) just seek God and be in His Word and He'll prepare you for what He is calling you to :)

Update: 4/5/2013

Dear friends lets fast and pray and seek God with all our hearts. His love is all we need. And His Spirit will guide us into all truth and prepare us for the times we are going into.  A 40 day fast has been called starting April 8th, 2013. Here's the video if you wanna see it {the messages are in a series so you might want to watch the previous videos if you don't get that one. If you want. It may not be your style so you can take it from me. And please seek God for yourself about everything you hear from others). I know it sounds intimidating but there's various fasts you can do, like the Daniel fast I described above. And God really does sustain you - His Word becomes like food. Let's be set apart. God is singing over us: Come away with Me! He is calling us to deeper intimacy. To seek Him in the secret place :-)

Update 1/4/2014: JanNEWary Fast!

Hey all =) Happy New Year!! I'm doing another Daniel Fast! I started on the first. Sorry I didn't invite you to join in. I'm fasting for breakthrough in my life, my family's and everyone else's. I'm just hungry for MORE, ALL of God.. I've been really scattered of late and I also want to get together with people to organize a united fast. Here is some background on the fast:The Daniel Fast is a 21-day partial fast with a biblical background tied directly to the prophet Daniel. In Daniel 1:8 (ESV) it states: "But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself."

In Daniel 10:2,3 (ESV) the prophet states: “2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for three weeks. 3 I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, for the full three weeks.”

The prophet Daniel's fast was not only good spiritually, but it also had significant health benefits. Daniel knew the importance of consecrating himself and being holy before God. The purpose of participating in the Daniel's Fast today is not to do exactly as Daniel did, but more importantly, to do it in the spirit in which he did.
